                      LOL, market size is the same. We only got less shipments of new units. Understandable, because most people have decent phones and don't need any upgrades. If you have a realitevely new iPhone or Samsung you are golden for like 5 years.

                        Realme sells more in poor countries than in Europe UK USA Middle East.

                        That's why the surge 67%.

                            There is nothing under 6 inch on the market other then Iphone mini as even the Iphone 13 is over 6 inch already and thats only the diagonal of the screen so add the bezel to it too that isnt much but still makes the phones bigger.

                            You cant say that people dont want compact phones in Europe and in Scandinavia if market just dont have anything other then phablets.

                                Anonymous, 16 Jun 2022Phones since 2014 were good enouh to avoid being replaced w... moreMore like 2017 for me. Because 2014 had phones with only 2 GB RAM. That's difficult to browse the web or you'll experience poor a lot of refreshing. While 2017 did start losing headphone jack, got glass backs (which also got wireless charging), and no more removable battery for a flagship after LG V20 in late-2016.

                                I have a hard time using my iPhone SE and LG G5 beyond a day because the software is so laggy. LG G5 still had the outdated eMMC which also causes lag issues from dying memory cells. I'm starting to think bare minimum should be 2019 or any year that made 8 GB RAM common. Because my Essential Phone and Pixel 3 has memory issues too.

                                The best time to get a phone is when the RAM first goes up. Like get a 2015-2016 phone with 4 GB instead of 2018-2019. Each RAM boost can last a bare minimum of 5 years. By 2025, we'll start seeing 16 GB RAM being common. Don't get the common amount of RAM at their tail-end. The iPhone 6 vs. 6S is a perfect example. The 6S lasted longer thanks to double the RAM than the 6 and they're only a year apart.

                                Android is such a resource hog along with the apps when they start getting updated. There seems never enough RAM for Android the way Windows is.

                                  Well problem is with manufacturers.
                                  There is mo many brands to pick from and every single day many new devices comming out from many companies.
                                  Market is overfed with phones.
                                  Hence the fall.

                                  In past we had 1-2 phones per year from aby brand and it was enough.
                                  Now they release new device every week with simmilar specs.
                                  Such a waste of resources.

                                    No shlt, worst mobile year ever.
                                    S22 ultra Exynos version sucks big time.
                                    Most phones looks the same, they remove everything in the box, they remove 3,5mm jack, SD card slit.
                                    Prices goes sky high, some phones are totally like a beta software model on the release, especially S22 ultra, never tried this before.
                                    And i buy many phones normally.
