We're pretty much in July (and as usual a September release) so I really don't think there's still any doubt now about the sourcing of displays.

You've got used to unnatural punchy colours, that's why it appears washed out for your eyes. It's same if you listen music with high treble, after that when you listen music in normal settings it sounds dull before your ears get used to that.
It's calibration choice, Apple want screen to look natural.
I'm big fan of iPhone and iPad screen because of this, because i edit photos, i need to see them how they naturally look because else i would change them to wrong direction because the photo on the screen doesn't look same than what it really looks, because this world isn't punchy and oversatured colours 😅
It's same with music producers, we buy expensive studio monitors which doesn't colour the sound, because if it does we would do wrong mixing decisions because we would hear the sounds wrong.

Even A03 is better in every wayIf given the money and chance to do so, I would buy an iPhone along with an Android phone together because each one offers something important to me that I need, and I'm always glad to have as many more options as possible.
It's about time to stop this one-sided fanboyism altogether and simply choose whichever suits your needs instead.
"Who still buys Apple nowadays" wow so edgy bro. Talk about jealousy of iPhone users with the greater capabilities of Androids but also be highly insecured about iPhone users not giving a damn about what the hell your emotions are saying.
These are just phones at the end of the day. It's not gonna make your preference anything better by being a b*tch to the other camp.

a new displaygate is coming,let see the differences between samsung and lg compared to chinese junk,i think many will not be happy when they find that their boe screen look different in a bad way

You can make display panels in Botswana if you want, if there are capabilities and quality control, what does it matter? Most companies make stuff in China because they have the capabilities and because their workforce is cheaper than one in Europe or North America. Literally as simple as that.

People diss iPhones for all sorts of nonsense, but have you seen the tolerances on them? Everything fits with perfection. No varying gaps between front glass and chassis. Do you think display under the front glass is just randomly glued there? No, it has specific tolerances to fit in there exactly. Also BOE didn't change the width "slightly", they repositioned the connector. Imagine ribbon cable for display being off by just 1mm. It would be really bad when it would arrive to Foxconn for assembly and machines would tear ribbon connectors during assembly because of that difference. It's why you just don't do such changes. I can't believe people are s**ting on Apple for demanding precision that was agreed upon for production of said display panels. My god.

If it was too expensive or any issue with the design, they should have talked to Apple rather changing it and get caught like a con man.

Why would you change something that you already agreed to one the first place and then keeps quiet about it? I'm no engineer but I seriously doubt the slight increase in width of a display circuit would inflict issues on other components used on the iPhones, nor affect the quality, so the actual problem for Apple was that BOE did so without getting permission from it.
