Not a fan of Apple's OLED screens.They appear a bit dull and washed out compared to premium offerings from Samsung and Oppo for instance. Can't tell exactly why though

I think BOE just made circuit changes to make it cheaper and easier to manufacture.
Apple was just mad because they were not consulted first.
Just my opinion.

When comes to phone screens Sony is best nowdays.
In past it was Vertu.

But if you willing to pay thousands for pro max you will get samsung or LG screen..

Boe is great I have couple screen laptop panels from them dell uses them and the quality is amalllzzing .. nice colors..

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2022Anyone got any modern example phones that use BOE displays?Most Huawei phones use BOE panels. Many Xiaomi phones also use both LCD and OLED displays from BOE. Also, all LG IPS/LED monitors use BOE panels (it's even detailed in LG's official site). They've surpassed both Sharp and Japan Display (JDI)

Maybe they tried choosing BOE because it's cheap to get them to manufacture within their standards. Apple might have to cave in to keep the cost down, or look somewhere else; hence trying to re-evaluate it like what this article suggests.
