Man Mediatek are so far advanced from what they were when they launched their "flagship alternative" chips. Anyone remember HTC's M8 variants? The E8 with the Mediatek or the M8+ which was a flagship but had a Mediatek processor in it?
That was my first exposure to Mediatek and admittedly, while they were pretty cool chips, the lack of OS updated due to horrible drivers from Mediatek gave me a sour taste in my mouth.
But great to see MT finally hanging with the big boys, at least in revenue sales

An... morethere is no dm8000/dm8100/dm9000 tablet yet and they ain't crushing apple chipset yet
don't get me wrong I'm not apple fans, but their ARM chipset is amazing (performance/power consumption wise), but sadly most apple device don't have adequate cooling or if there is any at all, so the actual performance is suffering, just look at ipad mini with a15 bionic it can run genshin almost stable 60 fps thanks to bigger surface area, it can dissipate more heat than it's iphone counterpart, so it can maximize a15 capabilities
I am not to try to dismiss dimensity line up, in fact they are amazing and I personally will buy one. it will be more amazing if mediatek is open to custom rom tho

Obviously the revenue is going to increase as these chips are significantly more expensive than previous chips so even selling the same number would account for a relatively large percentage increase in revenue. Mediatek has made great strides though. At the moment, qualcomm and mediatek will be able to sell all their flagship chips no problem due to the global chip shortage problem but if the chip shortage is resolved in the next few years and supply exceeds demand it will be interesting to see whether Qualcomm or Mediatek will be the leader in terms of flagship chips.

There are far many more units of Snapdragon 720G sold compared to Snapdragon 870. Does that mean the SD720G is crushing the SD870 in performance?

All the phones that do come with Dimensity 8100 and 9000 have chipsets swapped for western markets with some Snapdragon variant. All of them. I'd totally have a phone with Dimensity 9000, but I simply can't because there aren't any in Europe.

and single sim card slot. for hybrid slot between sd and sim.
base model should be 128gb.

I'm a fierce Apple hater but we have to respect their chips. They are superb performers.
Latest benchmarks show that not even the SD 8cx Gen3 comes close and that chip uses a 4x X1 + 4x A73 combo.

I don't understand why some people say that MediaTek sucks, I prefer Snapdragon because it's supposedly better for playing emulators.
