In the olden days, they are the laughing stock of the CPU community. Now, even the likes of Linus Sebastian is impressed with AMD's Ryzen CPU.

Ngl, the Dimensity 8100 is a serious performer. Let's not forget that it's built to compete against the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and yet that chipset in the Realme GT Neo3 even manages to beat Snapdragon 870 in terms of benchmark performance. That is worth watching.

Nothing is crushing M1 anywhere. And neither is that happening on mobile phones. Dimensity 9000 is basically unobtainable in the west because most phone manufacturers use SD 8 Gen1 for western markets and Dimensity 9000 for Chinese market.

Feeling good to see monopoly of snapdragon get crushing day by day

Back in 2012 MediaTek was the slowest of the bunch based on my experiences. 10 years later it can hang with the rest. I truly saw the change when I tested out a Samsung Galaxy A31 with it's Helio P65 chipset last year. I got my hands on a Galaxy S20+ and compared them side by side and the S20+ speed wasn't far off, just a little faster...at least for menu navigation and opening built-in apps. I suppose when it comes on to more intense tasks like heavy duty gaming etc. the difference will be clearly seen. Either way I'm still impressed by MediaTek these days.
