Anonymous, 05 Jul 2022What are you talking about? YouTube supports 2160p videos.Just read the whole comment before you reply. . .

1st of all, yes, youtube supports 4K and 8K videoes, as well as older and lower resolutions.

Youtube does unfortunately operate with the "2160p" as well as "4K", which is unfortunate because in very many cases the 4K video is by all means 4K, but not "2160p". This is just one of several reasons why the correct terminology is "4K" and not "2160p".

Only 4K videos on youtube, and other places, in 16:9 aspect ratio are 3840 x 2160.
4K videos on youtube, and other places, in 18:9 aspect ratio are 3840 x 1920.
4K videos and movies on youtube, and other places, in 21:9 aspect ratio are 3840 x 1644.
This last one is the most suitable for movies, to avoid black bars on top and below the picture.

So, all 4K video resolutions are 4K, but only those in 16:9 aspect ratio are "2160p" - which isn't the correct terminology for this resolution anyways, 4K is. Get it now?

If it’s China only, there is nothing interesting about it.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2022You are going out of topic. We are talking about 2160p not 4K.2160p is not a official resolution in and of itself. 4K, on the other hand, is a official term for several combinations of resolution with approximately 4000 pixels horizontal resolution.

2160p is used by some streaming services to indicate a 4K resolution, however in many cases the video itself is actually not 2160 pixels vertically. Just like many 1080p movies are not actually 1080 pixels vertically, but always 1920 pixels horizontally in the case of 1080p and typically either 3840 or 4096 horizontally in the case of 4K.

One common 4K resolution on youtube in example, is 3840x1920. It's called 2160p / 4k in the settings. It is a 4K resolution, but it isn't 2160p. Hence their use of 2160p is very unfortunate, especially since the official name of the resolution is 4K.

Great stuff from Xiaomi,it should be a beast of a (main) camera.Plus,a new chipset that'll hopefully run much better than the previous two SD's made by Samsung. Now we'll wait for GSMA to test it to see what's what...

Anonym, 05 Jul 2022Historically, display's resolution is defined by lines... more2160p isn't the current term. 4K is the current term. Number followed by "i" (interlaced) or "p" (progressive) is not longer the current standard. That died with 1080p.

4K and 8K resolutions gets their number from their horizontal pixel count.

Meaning that 4K resolution refers to a horizontal display resolution of approximately 4000 pixels.

The OLED display in the Xperia Pro-I complies with the 4K requirements and is a 4K panel. Therefore it is marketed as a 4K panel because it is one. It's very simple.

[deleted post]- 1440p is more than enough for a display like this.
                          - Pro-I has SD888, 12SU has 8+G1.
                          - The phone isn't out yet, how would you know if Tekken runs poorly.
                          - 12SU does have dual SIM.
                          - 12SU sound audio is 24-bit, just like the Pro-I.
                          - Pro-I is twice as expensive as this phone is.

                          Go away.

[deleted post]You know whatelse can play Tekken and other games?? PLAYSTATION 5.. And you ll still save 500usd {900 usd 12s Ultra, 500usd Ps5) from which you can buy two 2tb ssds with Enclosure making your Storage 4tb, and ssds can be used by Phone through type c enclosure. And now matter how much you cry at the end of day Xperia 1 Pro doesn't hold candle to 12 ultra, it didn't even compete with 2021 flagships🤣🤣
