That comes from the analog days and how the ray was used to build the picture in a CRT display. Incidentally, that's why FHD is defined as 1080p and UHD is 2160p. It's not usual to focus on row counts, even less usual to talk about displays using "vertical or horizontal" -- even if I understand what your are saying, those are simply not the terms used in the field, for historic reasons.

TL;DR 4K is a misused cinema standard that people say when they mean UHD. Either standard is defines its accepted resolutions in both dimensions (i.e., it's not just "vertical" or "horizontal"). However, if you really must say it's defined by anythings, it's the number of lines (i.e., "vertical") -- just pause to think what 1080p or 2160p stands for.

    Poor design of camera layout and too thick to handle like a phone. Too expensive

His index finger is placed in a way that there is a shutter button there, like how you would operate a camera with a shutter button. If there is no camera button, holding it like that is pointless.

          Definitely looking forward to the camera performance in the full review. I'm hoping that the Leica partnership will bring a much-improved photo quality than before.

It has its own advantages as well, but yeah, a headphone jack and sd card slot should be a must on this phone. The camera is going to eat up all the storage.

                The mentioned Xperia is a 4K OLED display. It doesn't have 2160 pixels vertically because of the aspect ratio being 21:9. If it was 16:9 it would be 2160. But the 3840 horizontal pixels is what makes it a 4K display.

The ones who can block phones from connecting to networks are network providers.

                          Sony, Samsung and Apple good luck beating this with under CNY 5999 pricetag or 863 euros or up to 900 dollars.
                          And maybe after 3 or 6 months or just before Xmas price will be around 700 euros.

First of all thickness of 12S Ultra is not 9.1mm because double layered camera bump as half as thick as the whole phone. After watching hands on videos it's probably 4-5mm thick which makes the the phone about 14mm thick at least if not more. Good thing is they kept the weight in check this time around.

                                    Sony almost have it, just their phone is so narrow, but at the same time it's really only necessary for when putting them in VR glasses, and truth be told current day smartphones are too big for that anyways. It made more sense in the Xperia Premium days with a 5.5" display.
