If I had to buy a 1000$ phone I would go for Samsung without second thought. Forget about lag. Even midrangers don't lag anymore. One UI is the best of best now.

Pete, 10 Jul 2022Yeah I was pointing out that you were wrong just acceptWell, I'm not wrong. And you would know it if you had owned any nexus models, instead of only your pixel.

In all your posts you state that you use at least 5 different devices at the same time 😱
Sometimes I forget about my phone because I'm playing my Switch. Even so, your posts are real testimonials, they seem written by the editors of GSMArena.

Is Tensor really that bad? Based on a comment I read on this website, Qualcomm is anti-competitive and is the reason why phones can't get more than 3 Android updates or more software support, which makes me hate Qualcomm. In addition, the Tensor chip has unique Google features and improves Google cameras. I don't think Tensor will have a problem emulating N64, Gamecube and Nintendo DS.

Still recall my Nexus 5 16gb, although in india it was no way cheap and sold for almost 160% of US price, but it was joy to use mostly, except poor battery, heating issues, storage issues and few bugs from lolipop that were never fixed till its life time support like flashlight auto disable and app auto appearing in multitasking switcher. Installed custom rom on it later for next 6 months or so and then sold it for Moto X2 which was only a marginal improvement on nexus 5 but certainly had a personality that i always felt lacking on Nexus 5.

Nexus One: Love the design. Horrible power button.
Nexus S: Didn't like the glossy plastic.
Galaxy Nexus: Bad Texas Instrument SoC.
Nexus 4: Rear glass broke easily.
Nexus 5: Only 2300 mAh battery for 1080p.
Nexus 6: Codenamed Shamu. Ridiculously large.
                      Nexus 5X: Bootloops.
                      Nexus 6P: Bootloops.

Pixel: Had a motherboard and mic issue.
Pixel 2: The XL had the blue shift display issues.
Pixel 3: Displays turned pink. Hated XL's tub notch.
Pixel 4: Small battery for 90 Hz. No fingerprint scanner.
Pixel 5: SoC was a sideway upgrade with Snap765G.
Pixel 6: Way too large/heavy. Tensor is bleh.

                      I'd rank my top 10 Nexus/Pixel like this -
                      1. Pixel 3
                      2. Pixel 2 XL (panda)
                      3. Pixel 5
                      4. Pixel 4a
                      5. Pixel
                      6. Pixel 3a
                      7. Nexus 5
                      8. Nexus 4
                      9. Galaxy Nexus
                      10. Nexus One

I'd get the Pixel 6a if it was smaller. Too bad I'm not interested in getting another slab phone. I still use my Pixel 3 and iPhone SE (2016) here and there. But it's hard going back once you're used to folding the display.

Google should release A series models with 2 years of major updates across 350-400USD everywhere with snapdragon midrange chipset. That will make them great company.
