LG V50 ThinQ 5G is now receiving its Android 12 update

I have a V50 thinq and I am so happy that they are keeping to their word with the updates. I love this phone and honestly I am worried about my replacement options. The audio jack and hi-fi quad DAC especially are really really nice features and harder to find these days. I am going to hang on to it for as long as I can because it really ticks all of the boxes for me, nice screen, good cameras, sd card expansion, audio jack and hi-fi dac, good microphones, reliable back mounted fingerprint scanner and decent battery life. I guess maybe I should look into sony xperia phones but damn the price is rough on those. I was quite saddened by LGs departure from the smartphone industry.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2022Yeah, the current LG UX 9 is so underratedyeah true bro even by gsmarena when they released it they said the settings menu is like one ui then next year Samsung released new one ui with transparent notification panel which was introduced in lg 1 year before and they talked like its beautiful and good, they didn't say it copied. and many reviewers said LG g8 camera is not good as even s9 plus but i had s9 plus now my bro using it and i m using lg g8s which is a midrange phone with flagship processor camera sensors and speakers are midrange and still it can perform equally in camera and speaker with s9 plus and lg g8 have flagship camera sensor and idk how it got beated by s9 plus while midrange camera sensor lg g8s equalled the s9 plus. most of the reviewers lied about lg and consumers also believed it except lg fans and now we lost competition.

No, its not quite necessary to trade it in, specially with Android 12 update.
With world's best audio quality and no replacement, plus a set of well implemented, capable cameras, if I had one I'd rather keep it.
In fact, I'll keep my G8x long as I can.
Hey, if anyone in India feels like getting rid of their V50, please, please, I'm right here! Get rid of it, sell it to me! :)

I know it's better late than never, but this is too long for a flagship phone. Cheap phones from Samsung Xiaomi Realme have been available since the beginning of the year.
