The M2 Pro 13 which is thicker and has a fan, overheats to 105 °C in the right conditions, I am afraid this will overheat like crazy when stressed for even a few minutes

The most bs statement I've ever heard. Even m1 max pro trashed by 12th gen Intel and it was 10nm vs 5nm.
And about arm tdp, it's just a bat like body. Even with less tdp, the m2 does thermal throttle badly. Imagine what will happen if arm got same tdp as x86. It will be just melted down.
Now about geekbench. It ain't even cross benchmark in the first place. No real tech reviewer, journalists and researchers use it in the first place other than just some noob Apple based YouTubers like max tech.
And about antutu, it wasn't a cross platform before when Android had 4 test areas and iOS had only 3. But later antutu add another test area as android and does compare totally.
Never Apple users never research.

M2 MBA improvements over M1 MBA
1. Better performance
2. Better camera, support center stage
3. Magsafe
4. Higher unified RAM options
5. Faster unified RAM (twice as fast)
6. Improved media encode / decode hardware
7. Brighter display
8. Lighter weight.. but not by much.
9. Improved audio speakers.
10. 3.5mm jack support high impedance (provide more power)
11. Larger battery capacity but same run time.

The M2 Air looks nicer than the M1 Air, but there's definitely no incentive to upgrade. Both chips are well within modern performance standards. IMO they should have increased the core count.

Even Antutu themselves said that Android benchmarks shouldn't be compared with iOS since they're not meant to be cross-platform in the first place because of differences between the two platforms, so that the comparisons should only be iOS to iOS and Android to Android, not iOS to Android. Just because Apple scores better = optimizing/cheating? Not because of R&D and their experience making better chips?
Also, they just started competing in the desktop business using their own SoC. Obviously it

geekbench doesnt show real life performance
apple optimize for that platform
most of ARM apps for Mac OS are unoptimize even apple owns thats why AMMD intel PC outperform them

According to these scores , that's a 9% improvement in single core and 15.75% in multi core.
I'm from India and I got M1 Air for 84k INR in March and the M2 costs 120k.
I don't see the justification of extra 36k INR (around $450) for the improvements it brings , but that's just my opinion.
I don't need a 0.3 inch larger display with a notch , nor a display which is 100 nits brighter.
I don't need magsafe port or fast charging or the faster GPU.
And I don't use webcam much , so don't really require the 1080p webcam as well.
I'm a user who stays at home all day and uses his laptop for just basic stuff like browsing internet , attending zoom meetings (720p webcam is good in indoor lighting) and watching movies and stuff.
If I had waited for M2 macbook air , I still would have gone for the M1 model because I just don't require the improvements it provides.
Plus waiting would have been dumb as the price of M1 air has increased after launch of M2 air because of foreign exchange rate I believe.
