There's no such thing as anything after windows 10. Microsoft crossed their hearts and promised to God that windows 10 was the end and final version of windows.
Yet we all knew the truth.

My laptop came with Windows 7. Worked much worse than Windows 8.1 and 10. Now running Windows 11. Though many people hate it for me it works really really well very similar to Windows 10. For me Windows 7 was a nightmare. Many blue screens and GPU driver crashes. And laggy as well. Windows 8.1 was great and very lightweight. Windows 10 and 11 are the best after all. Windows 12 is interesting but I'm not sure if my laptop can handle it. Windows 11 isn't supported but Rufus helped me and it runs fine now.

Microsoft is similar to a chameleon, keeps shifting product strategies & marketing around them by judging the heat among its customers, enterprise first then consumer. I simply do not understand why product management is so complicated at Microsoft. Sticking to a single, consistent rule is so NOT Microsoft style. Even Linux releases, or MacOS releases are better with this, 6 monthly latest releases, 2 years LTS releases no big deal. Been doing for decades. NOT Microsoft style, consistency that is.
With Windows 10 ALONE, they first stated "Last version of Windows" as if it will be serviced forever. Customers were screaming for 6 monthly major update tortures, but no stopping for 4 continuous years. Then all of a sudden, Windows 11 "skin" is announced, strategy now Annual updates for both OS. Then now this, 3 yearly updates. All this drama in last 18 months.
Look at Weather app, it constantly keeps its name changing to MSN Weather to remind users now that Microsoft used to have a successful MSN portal too that no one liked. But just to project legacy, we will call MSN prefix on everything. Chameleon you Microsoft.

As a os windows is not good at all
It's a buggy and updates break software often
I don't want a Microsoft account I don't like ads & spyware and forced updates turning a PC off when your trying too do something is a problem and factory reset don't work on some laptops broken by updates
Just are game librarys are stuck on Windows
We need Windows
Windows meets are needs but its not we want or like

Upgraded to a SSD, my Windows 7 laptop starts in just 25 seconds or so ready to use.
None of the newer windows are this fast, even though they employ a standby like method to shut down normally.
Newer is not always better in all terms.

Why going backwards to times when Microsoft's systems were backwards compatible to a level when they became almost unusable (say hello to awful Vista)?
