Some Nothing phone (1) buyers report green tint display, issues around the selfie camera

18 July 2022
Phones with AMOLED displays are occasionally plagued with green tint issues, this is nothing new, but not a great start for the young company's first phone either.

Reviewers: Look this OLED has wonderful colors and deep blacks

Customers: bro wtf is that green stuff on my screen

Bottom Line: OLED is better to advertise, LCD is better to use.

Wasn't green tint issue always fixed with software updates? Or was it device replacement? I know Samsung and also Apple had green tint issues and as far as I know they fixed this with software update...

Well if the problem is so widespread when gsmarena reviewers get this nothing in their office there will be a surprise for them!

I would have understood if you had a redish tint like I had on my good ol' galaxy s8, that can be solved easily through software color calibration. Burn in is severe on my s8 but it's a 2017 phone, used almost all the time at maximum brightness...

BUT THIS, is in it's own league, seriously

                          NOTHING can beat this xD

What's really horrible is that it's not that the CEO of the company is any sort of a newbie into the smartphone market, heck the exact opposite of that, and so given that he already had lots of experience back in OnePlus, we'd all expect by now that his new company would already have a great headstart towards making quality products with minimal to no hardware defects, but sadly, we didn't observe it here. Whether they fix this issue or not, it doesn't change the fact that this is very disappointing for a company whose CEO historically has lots of experience in handling a smartphone company and keeping quality control perfectly in check.

Lol, what did the buyers expect, best quality smartphone or something?
I think this early buyers deserve what is happening now to them.
When you buy a new product from an unknown company, just based on hype, you have no excuse.
