Apple may launch eSIM-only iPhone 14 model in some markets

Apple is reportedly in talks with US carriers about eSIM-only versions of its iPhone 14 series.

eSim has it’s benefit, but not for the consumer.

Companies did already succeed with brainwashing some people enough that eSim is only a good thing, making everyone fully ignore the cons.

Physical sim has pros and cons, but nobody is hiding those like with eSim

Only ones to benefit from eSim are companies like Samsung, Apple and so on due to saving “a few bucks” per device, while making them more expensive again.

I see chinese brands follow like they usually do.

But the biggest benefit is for the carriers, eSim is their wet dream.

And I can already see some defend eSim, ignoring the issues.

eSim is a fine technology, problem is that it is pushed by greed and not by making stuff easier, thats the excuse.

In a ideal world eSim would be perfect, if greedy carriers didn’t exist.
