2022 and still no phone with 1 inch camera sensor, 200w charging and under display front camera.. Until there are such phones, I won't buy another one.

By looking at the chart, sells are at the same level as 2020, and 2021 was an unusual year because of the stupid lock downs, the US giving out free money and little inflation. I think a lot of people bought a new phone in 2021 because of the $2000 checks Trump sent out. I bought two phones in 2020 because my wife's and my phone needed replacement. It was probably the best year to buy a new phone, afterwards phones started losing the SD card slot and more phones dropped the headphone jack, yet increased in price. I paid $280 for a Samsung Galaxy A51, and $330 gor a Samsung Galaxy A71, how much are those models selling for now?

That's why my current laptop which is 12 years old runs windows 11 fine. It costed me around 1500 dollars.

Unless you use memory intensive tasks like video editing and data processing, having that huge of a memory is not viable. I play games, watch videos in the background and compile code, with which my 16gb memory is hardly used up 100%.

And more than 8 GB RAM is total nonsense, even 6 GB is more than capable of everything. Storage options then have no relation to RAM at all, so the combinations are truly dumb, making the higher option even more expensive. And for no real benefit.

I have ultrabook laptop running full Windows 11 Pro operating system with just 4GB of RAM and it works perfectly fine for all sorts of multimedia tasks you also expect from a phone. Why does a narrow focused device like smartphone needs 12 or 16GB of RAM? Other than making app devs even more lazy because there's tons of memory to throw around, why bother optimizing anything and it just makes all apps behave like fat pigs. And they do exactly that. If high end phones can't run all the apps in the world with just 8GB of RAM, someone is doing something horribly wrong.

I am going to buy last years flagship because Snapdragon 8 gen 1 throttles like crazy.
I have seen benchmarks for Genshin Impact and the difference with current vs last gen Snapdragon 888 was like 4 fps because current gen Snapdragon Throttles.
Snapdragon 8 gen 1 plus much better but there are no phones with that in my region.
I think oems should go with Mediatek top end chipset for lower price in the high end instead of going Snapdragon.
