My phone has same 14,6cm.
It is not small.
So, nobody should call compact, because it is not.

CompactPhones5ever, 26 Jul 2022I don't see much reason to choose this over Galaxy S22... moreHeadphone jack, better thermals (even if slightly), bigger battery, charger in the box, and cleaner Android.
Kind of silly for that last version to not come as a 12GB RAM/512GB storage instead though. Who is gaming on a small phone like this that needs such amount?

Pretty expensive actually, Zenfone 8 launched for $599 I think in the US.
I guess I'll just hope the Pixel 7a is good and get it then lol

It should've come with snapdragon 778 or snapdragon 7 gen 1. With this small form factor heat dissipation with snapdragon 8 gen 1 would not be so effective.

I don't see much reason to choose this over Galaxy S22 at this price, but still, it's always nice to see another compact phone around.

The phone will be delivered at the time when android 13 arrives with android 12 pre installed. May be the phone would get android 13 by december. Then the android 14 by january 2024 and the security support ends by august 2024 right at the time when pixel devices recieves android 15. Just 24 months of software support for $800 phone.
