That first review is a joke. So that one REAL problem they mention is nothing to do with the phone, but India's high taxes on foreign phones!

I don't think any OEMs have high-quality standards for their new product because every OEM has hardware or software issues every year.🤡😱😁

Then it's Google's job to demand product specifications to be up to their standards. Unless they don't have standards, then it's all a mess anyway. Google doesn't make phones now the same way they didn't make them back then. Apple doesn't make iPhones themselves either yet everyone always barks at them like they themselves broke something. But when it's Google at fault, no one applies the same logic. Weird, isn't it?

Google only start making smartphones with the launch of the pixel phone.

Like 99% of phones don't have issues reading fingerprint even with heavily scratched glass and they are no less secure than regular scanners. Especially ultrasonic ones that actually use physical shape of fingerprint to detect one instead of contrast based like optical ones.

SShock, 27 Jul 2022No, Google is notorious for most elementary stupid software... moreGoogle is best recognized for being a search engine giant not for making smartphones and let's not forget to mention that the Google Play Store is still not optimized for android tablets. Google handling software for the Pixel phones will not be as good as Apple iOS software in terms of new device releases with fewer software issues. Hopefully, Google will make sure that future Google pixel devices have fewer software issues when released.🤡😁😱

This did indeed work with a friends pixel 6 (pro?) too! I tried it as a joke and it unlocked. He did say he registered his thumbs multiple times because then it unlocked faster though

Thats why UnderdisplayOptical FP for me is just a gimmick, less secure, inaccurate, dodgey compared to actual FP sensor.

And I can somewhat forgive other companies to have software issues when they are really more hardware companies, but Google's foundations are software. If they can't have that best in the industry, who will? Yet most other companies have better software than Google. I can easily say this for Apple and Samsung and later runs Google's own bloody OS.

Every OEM that releases new devices has software issues every year 😳 not just the pixel phones that have software issues and no OEMs are perfect. The haters that write that the pixel phones are crap in the comment section buy $200 Chinese budget phones which are complete awfully and terrible🤢. Google Pixel phones will get better in the future and hopefully start with the pixel 7/7pro.🤡😱🤬
