Anonymous, 30 Jul 2022That my friend is called privilege, does anyone had access ... moreIf you don't even have high speed internet access, then what are you using all that storage for? If you don't have access because you don't want to pay for it, get over it. If you work and make money, you could easily afford the small fee. Of course it's going to cost, it's a service!! And It's not like you're downloading anything that takes up so much space, or take more photos and videos than you could work with (when you have slow internet)? Also, there's easy BLUETOOTH if you want to transfer files! BLUETOOTH!! If your internet is that slow to begin with, I don't see how you could live with that in general. There's also phones with high built-in UFS.🤦

I h... moreThat my friend is called privilege, does anyone had access to high bandwidth internet and huge amount of cloud storage, ready at disposal 24/7? Nah, I guess not, that's why microSD is still important, not everyone had the luck. For me, it always easier to remove the tray instead of waiting for the data to be ready on the cloud.. my point is, all of this microSD removal is just pure BS to sell cloud space, just put the slot, whether it was used or not depends of the user. Better to have, and not need, than to need, and not have...

I have 1 TB cloud service included with my Office subscription, fast internet at home or at work, so I can do a backup whenever I need or want. I really don't need microSD anymore. And to protect my data I encrypt it.

You need to buy the compatible one! No 3.5 jack? Buy our TWS! No microSD? Buy our cloud storage! Now, it's the future or simply a cash grab? They made a "solution" for every problem they made. :)

lol, maintenance mode is already available in Huawei phones since 5 years.

Now don't talk about cloud BS, it needs money and internet to works, the only reason brand dropping microSD is cloud money.

you have to suffer, 30 Jul 2022sd cards are useful in case if their main devices are dead.... moreIn addition, clouds = internet required, and of high speeds, which is also costly.

uzername, 29 Jul 2022What you're saying is a far cry from current reality. ... moresd cards are useful in case if their main devices are dead. imagine if your phone is dead and your data is still kept on it. dont say cloud storage. they cost fortune than a single 128gb sd card. you want to listen to music from your sd card but your phone has no sd card slot?? too bad!! you have to be online 24/7 if you want to listen your mp3s via cloud. or just download it and it will take device storage. you want to take pics and videos but you ran out of storage?? too bad!! you have to spend more on cloud storage which is temporary.
you are accepting what companies tell you to do. only low end phones have sd cards. midrangers started to remove them. let alone usb c flash drives

Repair Mode is good for those who does not have microsd card to store their data.... oh wait. People think that the microsd card is old school thing, it shouldn't be exist in phone anymore.. (:

Imagine all your photos and videos are exposed to the technican while repair your phone or you end up backup and restore everything after the repair......

For me, store all the personnel into the card and take it out when doing the repair, fast and easy. Why we all like make things difficult?

great idea idea! watch apple copy this and claim they thought of it.

This is basically Guest Mode, except you need to reboot. It's only necessary because Samsung phones omit stock-Android's multi-account features, for some reason.
