I used it for 2 years until Feb 2022 and it still had 92% battery health at the time according to Accubattery. I used 18W Mi charger for the phone btw.

They makes 9:21 screen phone now for all their series. As we have known that 9:21 screen is narrower but taller. They still make 6 inch inch for Xperia 10 series and 6.1 inch for Xperia 5 series. Pls note that 6 and 6.1 inch with 9:21 ratio makes the phone narrower than 6.4 and 6.5 inch on regular phones which usually has 9 : 19-20 screen ratio. So, it's impossible for Sony to make phones smaller than 6 inch with 9:21 ratio. The keyboard typing will feel incomfortable because so narrow.
Remember Apple still make 6.1 inch for their Pro and non Pro variant. That means there are market on that segment. But for below 6 inch, I also doubt it will be accepted by consumers. It's too small and will fail.

Girls and women actually prefer largest phones. they have purses and handbags to carry them. They prefer large screen to enjoy watching their favorite TV drama. Most users that I see with Pro Max iPhones and Galaxy Z Fold are women.

Some people like small smartphones, and those people feel like a lot online, even though they are very few.
In fact, even Apple made a small smartphone over two years in accordance with their opinion, but decided to make a big phone this year because sales of the iPmini fell far short of forecasts and profits were barely generated.
Of course, there is not a lack of demand for small smartphones, but their claims tend to inflate more than they do in reality online.

Minimum difference... moreOf course mininum different in size because S10e still has bottom bezel. It's top and side bezel is also not as thin as S22. It makes S10e is not small. Imagine S10e has all slim bezel just like S22. The size will be much smaller. I also don't like phone below 6 inch. It's too small for nowadays trend. That's why Apple increase iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro to 6 inch above.
I don't say the sales of small phones is better than larger phone but Android market needs other market share below 6.5 inch with all symetrical bezel. Just look at Apple. They always provide two type os size every year and they confident about it.
Remember: only Nothing Phone 1 has all symetrical bezel on midrange segment. There's no cheaper competitor.

Minimum difference. Even with huge price difference to Ultra the S is never the most popular among the 3 siblings.
All brands that have two equal models with just different sizes, the larger always sells more.

For example screens:
Good review says : screen type, screen supplier, colour accuracy, brightness, brightness uniformity across different portions, refresh rate, response speed, flickering frequency, values for proper calibration (RGB levels 0-255), levels of reflection , colour depth, viewing angles, outdoors visibility
Poor review : Screen is LCD or oled , It has 60 or 120Hz, saturated is good and accurate is dull/lifeless

22 is less pop... moreS10e is too small my friend. The display size is just 5.8 inch and still have chin bezel. Not like iPhones and S22 which has symetrical bezel on all their frame. So, it looks "cheap and mainstream".
S22 is larger. It has 6.1 inch display some as iPhone 12/12 Pro and 13/13 Pro. It also doesn't have chin bezel (symetrical bezel).
Nothing Phone 1 is quite expensive because it has symetrical bezel but doesn't cut the premium feature such as fingerprint underdisplay and wireless charger. The camera is also has 50MP ultrawide and of course its back disco light that make it the price not cheap. But Nothing Phone 1 doesn't have smaller display variant.

I think more people are realizing Marques Brownlee, Arun Maini, Michael Fisher, Jon Rettinger, so forth are just phone salesmen. That the most recent flagship Samsung or iPhone you bought isn't much different than the one you used 4 years ago. That you will always be chasing for the latest tech but it won't lead you to happiness. Only leads you to social media that only offers you anxiety and a lot of wasted time.

I use Samsung A52. Pretty good one. Will wait for A55. Don't care about micro sd or headphone jack. 256GB is enough and I have several wireless earbuds as well. Just need good cpu and big battery. Also a big good screen. Camera isn't that important.

In the past 5 years, I got 3 phones. The galaxy s8, which still works just fine, needs battery replacement to use it at max res max settings. The motorola g9 power, got it at the end of 2020, amazing phone with amazing battery life, too bad it's battery degraded much much faster than I was expecting. And now my mom's galaxy A40, with the screen replaced. If I replace the s8's battery, I am absolutely sure I can use it for more years than any recent overpriced garbage. I am skeptical tho because android 9 will not hold for more than a few years.
So I use the A40, which still is a compact phone, battery after 3 years still great, I can use two sim cards AND micro sd at the same time. Why would I buy another phone, If the last one from 2020 has such a short battery lifespan, considering it's massive cell???
And why do we pay much more for no micro sd, no headphone jack, no charger???
I am not suprised why market is declining.
Also, please stop with the punch hole/notch screens. I miss the g6/OP5T/s8/Pixel 2 XL era...
