Thats why Motorolla sells well in the US but not in Europe for example.

FatShady, 02 Aug 2022of course the number are gonna be low, since now the price ... moreWell, now you know the solution. It's not the problem of manufacturers, but your country and government. Or you expect Apple or Samsung to sell phones below manufacturing cost just for you to have the same price as countries where millions are being sold?

Realme's "double digit growth" is very deceitful and it means nothing. Their shipment rose by only 300k units. Their growth is big in percentage because they didn't sell much in the first place.

Anders, 02 Aug 2022Haha yeah "chip shortage" yet companies like Sams... moreYep 👍 Apart from Samsung, other companies too, are as usual launching phones every week. What's worse is that the quality is going down. Now there's no metal frame either, even on a lot of flagships. They really trying to make their customers buy more phones lol

You don't need to think about sales shortages popularity bla bla bla. You can just buy your favorite phone. I liked Sony but now Samsung is the king. Superb software support.

blue, 02 Aug 2022Don't lie. Apple always has strongest end of the year.... moreGood point, these dinosaurs get used to the new era or buy the sony mark llll that brings all that! if they want it, they have to checkout and pay 1,800 dollars, what happens is that guys like that and how they abound here, look for those characteristics, they want good sensors, good screen, that sounds good, good materials, good battery, good SFW, BUT THEY WANT IT CHEAP!! AS IF ALL THAT HAD NO COST

Less Chinese flagships in EU means more happy Samsung, Apple. Prices of everything are going crazy tho, not the incomes, if you want to solve buying power, try to change that. With Chinese phones makers bans, covid, war, feels like lag 4 years in tech. Just imagine there is soon fold4 and still without competition, phones have little to no improvement, some specs even worse...
Could be better if Siemens, Nokia and Alcatel were outing flagships, not something else...

FatShady, 02 Aug 2022best place if you live in merica, canada and couple of othe... moreAnd how many phones are sold in your country per year? If it is a few thousand, why making something special about it? Why creating a store? The price of the phone must cover all costs with selling the few pieces there...

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2022They actually have the brain to see how overpriced, underwh... moreDon't lie. Apple always has strongest end of the year. Samsung as well and also first quarter (new Galaxy S line), so a slight Q/Q decline is normal. And YoY sales see increase, therefore Samsung and Apple do it very well.
And, based on recent info, the S22 series and iPhone 13 series are the best selling versions. Somehow, none of them has microSD, jack and charger in the box. Guess why? Because people don't care about that anymore. Only dumb kids do.

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2022They actually have the brain to see how overpriced, underwh... morebest place if you live in merica, canada and couple of other countries, but for the rest of the world they're doomed, and africa for example is royally screwed, we got nothing, not a damn store (except in couple countries at most), we pay 2-3 times msrp and our second hand is still more expensive than actual msrp, not just talking about phones, talking about everything...

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2022Smartphone sales are falling everywhere. So called "&q... moreHaha yeah "chip shortage" yet companies like Samsung have millions of surplus stock lying around. There is no chip shortage. Just BS to try and justify the increasing prices and downgraded quality of phones in 2022

Again GSMarena and smartphone makers can keep pretending the poor sales are due to Covid, the "war" in Ukraine or whatever else they want. But the fact is the quality of phones has gone down while prices have gone up so of course people aren't going to be buying new ones

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2022They actually have the brain to see how overpriced, underwh... moreDon't forget they make repairs unnecessarily expensive and cumbersome just to sell more phones instead of a repair. Phone industry is turning pure trash

They actually have the brain to see how overpriced, underwhelming, and anti-consumer smart phones are becoming. They'd rather sell you a storage upgrade than offer a SD slot. They'd rather (attempt to) sell you wireless earbuds than add an aux port. They'd rather charge you more money than offer a competitive price. Seems like the only logical conclusion. The fact Americans (I'm American) buy so many iPhones and smartphones in general is crazy. Always gotta have the new upgrade. I think eBay is the best place to buy phones if you know what you're looking for, for this very reason. Phones in America have such a high turnover rate, you're going to find some nice phones at a good price
