[deleted post]Rip smartphones.
The way manufacturers are releasing phones, it almost doesn’t feel like a joke anymore.
Quantity, not quality. You need to swim through a lot of bad models, until you find a decent one.

ReStore, 08 Aug 2022indeed its time to move on and find an alternative.Like what? In 2022 all phones are bad or overpriced, or both.
And if things will go in the same bad direction, 2023 will be no different.

DroitwichGas, 08 Aug 2022OP's demise is almost perfect timing for nothing to no... moreOneplus was conceived to be Android's answer to iOS while Oppo always obsessed with overtaking Samsung. Guess which brand has the bigger say in the Oppo/Oneplus merger.

I feel sorry for those still thinking Oneplus will go back to stock-like OxygenOS. I gave up hope since OxygenOS 11 and not going to believe Oneplus PR talk anymore. Like they say "Trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice, shame on me"

DroitwichGas, 08 Aug 2022OP's demise is almost perfect timing for nothing to no... moreVery funny. The same mentality exists in Nothing brand.
No care for what people want in phones.
Nothing phone offers Nothing different from other brands and for a unjustified price.

DroitwichGas, 08 Aug 2022OP's demise is almost perfect timing for nothing to no... moreI thought OnePlus' birth was a genius move to pay younger engineers with higher motivation to create better products, probably less money than they would offer at Oppo or Vivo and they would slowly steal the improvements from OnePlus and adapt it across their portfolio. But instead they killed also all of the OOS niches slowly making it Yet Another Chinese Mass Production OS.

It is a OnePlus Ace/10R 150W with a better processor(same cameras, charging speed) and only 300mah more for too much extra money, while also visually looking alot cheaper.

OP's demise is almost perfect timing for nothing to now take their crown/customers. If they do hopefully they won't also let them down.
It seems an odd move by OPPO to simply throw away all the market share built up by OP by not keeping OOS alive.

Oppo should have remained in Asia. This way leaving Europe/North America to OnePlus and Africa to Realme.
OnePlus was in right direction if 7 series. All previous were bad with many cuts to keep prices lower than real flagships.
Now in 2022, all has been ruined again.
