AnonD-1060663, 09 Aug 2022We want to give another chance to our local manufacturer 😒That is really not gonna help ngl- Like competitions happen so manufactures can improve themselves so buyers will choose them over other brands. If they just straight up ban those phones then Indians will literally have to buy some phones at ~$150 with specs from decades ago because they won't have any choice other than those.

AnonD-1060663, 09 Aug 2022Why ?Banning other players making them unable to compete just so you can sell your products, that weren't competitive before is definitely not right.

Brave move, let's see how it going. From this we know sub $200 chinese phones are very strong not only in India but others countries as well.

And when did I ever ask for *your* opinion, boy?

Foolish move since lava and Micromax phone have always been useless even before comming of Chinese phones the only company who will benifit from this move will be samsung and nokia as they have good phones below 12000rs so if they really want to promote Indian brands they have to band all foreign companies from selling phones below 12000.

AnonD-1060663, 09 Aug 2022Oil your own machine 😏You can't just machine-translate a local idiom to English and hope people will understand it lol.

Before, the punishment seems justifiable. Now it's just bullying. What they should've done is banning Chinese phone under $50 while their local improve the quality step by step.

So poorer people get shittier phones while richer ones are completely unaffected by this decision, seems legit.

Indian readers, please explain how this move isn't a political one? Unilaterally banning something without a good reason? Now I am starting to think all those "tax evasion" charges by the Indian government against Chinese brands are political.
