You must probably think everything comes free and software makes itself up. Yet is not like that and sometimes for only resolving a problem nobody could, it can take billions and months of work, so yeah i find it normal that a company that gives answers and resolves problems to also patent their work, even if for some nobodys it seams something outrageous.

Nokia does pretty well and also innovate nonstop. Actually they are mostly working with enterprises now after the sale of mobile business. They never sold their patents tough. Patents that were made after investing billions in research, but why would oppo pay for them, right? i mean they alredy stoled almost everything innovation means. The only difference is, they are not able to sell stolen tech outside china, cause some countries respect the owner, isn't that crazy? I mean some innovators are respected outside China. So yeah, oppo mopo and whomever other, should pay. They should actually be glad that they are alowed to use those patents miding the fact that they never invested in anything but cheap labor and reverse engineering. In fact, if a patent would be at the value of 1 euro, i would ask 300€ to be on the sure site, that stolen innovation is not further spreading outside knockoff land.

NOKIA HAS ZERO PARTICIPATION IN THESE PHONES. MANY OF HMD PHONES ARE ODM.
Nokia works with telecon, like Ericsson, Huawei and Zte also do.

There is a price. Potential client can pay and use or refise to pay and do not use.
Simple.
Sony and Samsung pay Canon to use dual pixel. Money important to allow Canon keep working on more new stuff. Stuff other can later use.

Nokia yet makes huge money by patent and other networking services which is higher than any potential of these chinese companies.
Oppo, vivo, one plus are brand of single parent company , and they just sell smartphone devices and Nokia is a company who allow these small companies to develop these devices on patent of Nokia designs of such devices.

1. Nokia doesnt make lowend phone, in short they dont make anything consumer related nowadays, other Companies Licence Nokia Name, Current Nokia phones are made by HMD.
2. Nokia didnt fail as a Company, they are Alive and Healthy, and for few years now they are profitable.
3. When Nokia last made Phone no BBK phone was available in market, Nokia sold Device department to Microsoft sep 2013 and First Oppo phone came Dec 2013.
Why would Nokia be Jelous of Oppo? Nokia didnt force Oppo to use Nokia Tech, Oppo themselves include Nokia tech in their phones because they are superior to alternative on market, If they remove those tech no one will Bother them.

They haven't failed in total. They make money off other things than phones.

That's true, but that's because they don't sell phones anymore. A lot of companies were big back then, but they made mistakes and suffered for it. Nokia still owns itself and isn't part of a bigger company. They have other ways of staying alive and making profit.

Because Nokia hasn't made devices since 2014. Are you trolling? Oneplus started making devices when Nokia wasn't around and when Nokia hasn't released anything for years. You would expect Nokia's share to decline because they haven't been producing phones for about 7-8 years now.
