Android looks bad here begging apple to get rid of iMessage. Lol why don't Android get all their fragmented vendors to jump on and make their own iMessage. Don't they have more users than iOS? Lol what a joke google.

Apple have no choice, they'll have to either adopt RCS or open up iMessage or get banned in the EU per the new regulations from EU Commission

Ironic. Google crying about what Apple is doing when they did worse to Windows Phone. Prevented any Google app from working on there and now the tables have turned.

Go read the "History" section and see who's managing the hosting for RCS lol
No wonder Google wants everyone on it.

With how much Google keeps insisting with this, I think Apple is better off not implementing it.
It's really weird they care that much about standards, when they are the first ones that love breaking them

User, 12 Aug 2022Why use third-party messengers when there is a great messen... moreWell because that is more universal. And secure. And doesn't affect your experience if the receiver is not from the same manufacturer. And thus promoting exclusion.

iMessage should be exclusive to iOS like games on consoles. If Google wants Android users to be able to communicate with iOS users, let them give them an iPhone

The desperation. Another Android chat app failing.
Reasons I don’t trust RCS -
1. Google
2. Google’s history of failed chat apps
3. Privacy
4. RCS was displaying ads in Europe some time ago, so my understanding is google is pushing this hard because it gives google more control as in chat messaging (anyone saying it’s encrypted - so is WhatsApp but I noticed things i used to mention in chat, used to show up in my insta ads, weird right)
I admire Google’s persistence of getting into messaging app market but this is simply a sore loser move.
iMessage is far superior and secure, get upto that standard before you tease Apple with these ads.

I don't understand why doesn't the US use WhatsApp or Signal? You should all just have a meeting and use cross-platform apps. People who voluntarily exclude android users out of group chats should be jailed.

Why would Apple do it? iMessage is literally their best weapon to force people to use iPhone through peer pressure
