Traveller, 18 Aug 2022This is a joke, you talk about OS13 and my Find X3 Pro stil... moreWait, you never received Android 12 based ColorOS 12 ? It was apparently launched in October 2021... Even with nonsensical seeding, you should have received it before 2022 for sure.

They are not even bothering to hiding it anymore. Not only the insight AOD is from Oneplus, it even shows preview with Oneplus sans font.

This is a joke, you talk about OS13 and my Find X3 Pro still run OS 11.2 in Europe with security update from 2021.06.26. Phone build, camera etc. is grate but the back up support its bull crap....unfortunately.

FM Radio, 18 Aug 2022The problem is my secondary oppo phone will get this update... moreIf you care about updates delivery you absolutely need to get an iPhone. The experience is just something else there. In last 4 years, every time I've seen any kind of news about new release being available for iOS, manually checking for update always brought it up that very moment. Every single time, no exceptions. On several Android phones I've owned, not only there was long delay between major releases, when it was officially announced I always had to wait for days and weeks to get the update others have already been enjoying on exactly the same devices. Just because I live in "wrong" region and they are always doing this bizarre seeding thing like they run their update servers made of potato. We can call out Apple on many things, but long term support and how timely they release updates to entire world at the same time is just entirely unmatched. Not even Pixel phones come anywhere close. But that's just me, I value this a lot and was exactly why I stopped using Android phones in general. It was just awful experience there.

wongwatt, 18 Aug 2022ColorOS 12 has an optimised night charging system and that&... moreConspiracy theory? There is no circuitry that can magically bend or bypass physics and chemistry. Li-ion batteries degrade the most when deep discharged under certain internal voltage and when they are sitting at 100% for extended periods of time. Another factor is also temperature during charging. These are facts, not "conspiracy theories".

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2022Nice you mention samsung and asus, but not who created this... moreSamsung gave this feature even to base Galaxy A models. ASUS had it for ages. I have no clue who "made it".

how cool, this make stock android looks like android 2.3. Why people like stock android? because it's simple? less bug? or others?

SShock, 18 Aug 2022Does Oppo offer any battery charge limiting features like S... moreColorOS 12 has an optimised night charging system and that's it.
You know the 80% thing is essentially a conspiracy theory don't you? All modern charging circuits are designed to protect your battery and all modern batteries have a finite charge cycle count. You're actually going to spend more cycles because you're reducing your overall usage time by 1/5 that's what kills the battery in combination with the heat caused by the act of charging. Batteries are not charged to absolute 100% nor are they allowed to reach absolute 0%, the indicator on your display is, well, indicative only.
Just charge to 100% and stop worrying, slowly overnight when not in use is best.

I am sad for the designers and programmers who are being told „copy this and that from iOS but make it look a little different so that nobody notices“

Not gonna lie, I kinda dig the new UI. Maybe will consider buying an Oppo or Oneplus phone depending on how the software performs in the long run.
