Anonymous, 18 Aug 2022stop with the lie, its embarrassing....i think you never ow... moreI mean, they keep saying iOS is dumbed down and Android is the complex OS of phones; yet they also say they tried iOS but can't use it properly? Either they never even tried learning the tiny learning curve, they're obviously lying, or that's as far as their skill level goes. Even my aunt that's about to hit her 80s can use it properly. Pretty much shows their capability if they can't even use a phone that's supposed to be "dumbed down" in their own words, unless they're deliberately making it hard for themselves just to justify something.

DaFink, 18 Aug 2022'One thing is for sure, Android phones are more easy a... morehe clearly doesnt have a clue
Android is more complex, and by definition if something is more complex and full of features it also makes it harder to use and understand for everybody
iOS by its simplicty and because it has far less features and capabilities by its own...automaticaly its far easier to understand and use....80 years old or an 10 years old will understand iphone far easier in 1 day

iOS just because is so boring and so locked in with far less features than android...makes it far easier to use than android
iOS even an 80 years old man can get used to it in couple of days , while android with skins and so much more is more difficult to understand what that phone can do

DaFink, 18 Aug 2022I'm looking forward to turning it off, same as I did o... moreLift to wake is pretty reliable. Every time I lift my iPhone XR in motion of lifting and looking at it, display wakes up, FaceID unlocks it and that's that. Sure it sometimes triggers when picking it up with other stuff and you don't have intention to use it, but display turns of pretty quickly. I really don't see a need for AOD on a phone. On a smartwatch however... blank watches are so ugly and pointless. I just have AOD enabled and I turned off wrist gesture because it was constantly firing brightness and second hand. For phone, I'd frankly prefer an RGB LED notification like I had on Huawei Ascend P7 and Xiaomi Mi5. I've instantly know if I had a missed call, SMS waiting or just whatever notification from app. It was really nice and since it was a separate function, display didn't have to turn on for it at all.

blue, 18 Aug 2022Fragile? Kidding, right?they are, its a phone not a brick, i smashed both my 12 pro max and 13 pro max screen, ironically in virtually the same place on the phone, and on the same unit at work, that supposed tough screen is flimsy, the frame itself actually held pretty well though

blue, 18 Aug 2022Fragile? Kidding, right?People call glass phones fragile and then rave about folding phones where fingernail leaves permanent indentation on folding display. lol. Besides, I don't care how fragile glass is, in last 12 years I've not cracked a single piece of glass on any phone and I owned plenty. They were all scratched up on plastic parts far more than any glass. If I smash my iPhone this moment by accident, I'll just buy a new one. I can afford that after 12 years of zero accidents of any kind. Plus they feel more premium if you want it naked and with case, at worst it's the same as cheap plastic phones.

If you're not getting a Pro, may as well stick with a 12 or 13. 14 regular looks stagnant.

No cheap phone is a replacement for iPhone or S22, or any other top-tier model. So the moaning "beeeh, it's too expensive, it should cost only XXX, because Xiaomi in China costs XXY" is totally nonsense.
No brand can offer anything that can in complexity replace the best. And yes, you have to buy a phone every year, if you want to stay in touch with the cheap ones. Low hardware, poor support, poor technical quality... No, thank you, i get an iPhone.

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2022Did iphone not have always-on display until now? That is sadI'm looking forward to turning it off, same as I did on every Android with it. I make it a point to not always be looking at my display, so not sure why I'd need it to always be on 🤷♂️
Moto's ambient display was a much more elegant solution, with iOS's 'lift to wake' being not nearly as good, and 'Always-on' being total overkill.

If you buy one flagship phone per year.. you can't enjoy all your phones... and you are limited to that phone or set of phones..
Compared to enjoying a Desktop, a tablet and a phone. Depending on where and when you are.

So it's for sure easier and more pleasant to use in just your case???
One might as well say the exact opposite, like 'I for sure find iOS easier to and more pleasant to use'
I somehow doubt that will earn the little 'thumbs up' emoji you like plastering all over certain comments in Apple articles though will it??
