Samsung always changes up things when it comes on to using the camera modules they sell to competitors. Just like the 108 megapixel module they sold to xiaomi, in the s20 ultra it was completely different and better.

Everyone claims they are superior in most things when they really are not.
Even upgrades and optimizing which is severely exaggerated.
In fact while they upgrade longer their updates are a big mess before they release many following ones that try to fix the. Which disproves their optimization claim too.
Security...eh they have an edge against most but nothing significant except maybe compared to cheap o's.
Camera or display? Not really. Up there with the best sure but not creating or leading. And camera they just caught up cause others like samsung and the rest got lazy and became like apple the past few years.
Features? We know how that goes.
Soc sure its a little quicker but still in most cases not like they make it sound. And still takes 20 minutes of sitting to prepare an update.
After sales? Thats a mixed bag like it is for most. And unfortunately after years of different common defects they like to deny them and make people pay costly repairs for manufacturer defects out of pocket.
Like the ear receiver of the 12s and 11s. But at first it was not happening. Then after 12s doing it too it finally became and issue but only with 12s. Not 11s or 12 pros.
Even thought all those models had the issue. And they wouldn't just replace the ear speaker. No the design required changing the whole display for $300 supposedly. And if you had an 11 or 12 pro/max then it was simply a user defect you had to pay for....
So in general apple just doesn't really excell at much compared to others....except marketing.

PatheticI can't point out a specific instance where X80 Pro+ beats out 12S Ultra, it seems the latter produces almost always more neutral-looking photos with more natural detail rendition regardless of the lighting conditions. Vivo's hardware + software processing combo is no slouch and has one of the most comprehensive camera apps on smartphones as well, but it can't really compete with Xiaomi, sheer image quality (on the main camera) wise.

It's just ridiculusly big.
Note 10+ was a stretch, and i will def be getting a smaller replacement.
Lineup should be s23, s23+, s23 ultra, s23+ ultra. Just like iPhones.
Two things that keep me by android is better bt quality, and better gestures.
If s23 (8+gen1) had the camera of s23 ultra (10x additional zoom, and better colors of 8+gen2) it would be perfect.
Or flip 5 with 10x.

People have tested 4CA on SA network on BT by Nokia on One Plus 10T. It supports upto 7CA. I believe Moto Edge 30 Pro and Moto Edge 20 Pro comes next in terms of connectivity. There is no phone beating them except snapdragon insiders phone.

And even though it may not sound like its cheap going to 200mp but these mp chasing sensors have been cheaper for them than developing actually larger sensors in the 16-40mp range. And refining processing in a more natural way. Especially just cramming in thinner more fragile devices with smaller batteries.

And no, I don't want to import it, because it lacks European network bands support which means connectivity will be utterly s**t if I do. I had one such Xiaomi in the past and experience with connectivity was absolutely garbage to a point 3G had better signal and speeds than 4G/LTE...

This is the endless number game of one brand trying to outdo the other competitors. It's all business as usual for the big techs. The majority of users 'upgrade' to the newer phones with impressive megapixels blissfully unaware that the sensors and the lens play a vital role in the quality of the output. Soon a few will complain to deaf ears that the zoom-in photos are blurry. Now, who do you blame for not telling you the difference between optical and digital zoom?
