Performance seems similar to the 778g+ based on the Oppo Reno 8 pro. Maybe that could be the reason for the poor uptake

            SD 7 Gen 1 was said to be 20% faster than sd778g , that made it 778g+ .
            In a way needless.
            Same is going to be with this one.
            Just drop to the prices of existing ones.

              This is what I like about Snapdragon.

                Would be expensive due to current top of the range 4nm manufacturing node

                  7 Gen 1 doesn't even get a maiden device to launch and they already plan a 6 Gen 1. Nice job Qualcomm

Even though in my country the Redmi Note series is a little more expensive. I had the chance to play and compare the Poco M4 Pro 4G and Redmi Note 11S, also Poco X4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. The Redmi models feel maybe 0.5 - 1 class above the Poco models (at least on built quality and feel in the hand). The specs are similar.

                      blue, 28 Aug 2022And all still keep using Qualcomm. 🤣Actually they don't. The amount of phones released with Mediatek chipsets has absolutely exploded during last 2 years. Dimensity series were an absolute and total success for Mediatek. There is tons of low and mid end phones with various Dimensity chipsets, hell, they still sell Helio G on lowest ends and they now also have the higher end with Mediatek 8000 and 9000, something they haven't had for ages if ever. Mediatek really ate into Qualcomm dominated market. What surprises me is how lax and slow Qualcomm is with their new generations of SD 7 Gen1 and SD 6 Gen1. Has anyone seen a SD 7 Gen1 powered phone yet? The chipset has been out for months now. What's up with that? Yet they already refreshed the 8 series with a plus. It's weird.

                            Companies will have no excuse using MTK on a camera focused phone now with these sweet midrange chips.
                            Can't wait to see how the next gen midrangers be like.
