There's always guaranteed hate on Apple from fanbois of Android. The obsession is real. Apple lives rent free in their heads. That doesn't happen on an Android article.

This whole charging situation is the same thing. 90% of people charge over night. Battery life is so good these days, that charging in the day isn't common on a daily basis and when it is, 20W will do 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. That's pretty good and comfortable to get through the rest of the day. There's diminishing returns when it comes to charging speeds. Can someone really point me to the tangible benefit from 80W to 150W? All it means is that at SOME point(s) the phone can take that power.

Just listen to them. They are releasing 30 watts charger like its some kind of big achievement.

While other companies are now launching chargers that support up to 200 watts PD charging.

          Wow, 30W!

Cant wait to see how they sell it as an invention, up to 2x from last gen, and how better it is than the competitor's 150W.

Majority of people here definitely must be having really baad phone, since charging speeds argument is literally the only thing to be brag about.

Zero argument about longetivity software support.
                  Zero argument about brand value.
Zero argument about longetivity battery health.
Zero argument about great after sales service.
Zero argument about great designed UI.
Zero argument about inter device ecosystem.
Zero argument about IP 67/68 rating.

If you are not happy with your phone, just change brands. Its that simple. There is no way to transform trully bad phone into good phone instantly just by one argument.

To be honest, I can't understand why people make fun of new Apple slow 30W charging because both of Apple nearest competitors, Google and Samsung also have slow charging.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra support 45W chargers that you need to buy separately but it only takes 5 minutes faster as compared to 25W charger to fully charge it.

Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are marketed to support 30W charging when you buy their 30W charger but in reality it only charged up to 22W.

So, there are chargers with 30W. But, only the iPhone 13 Pros (as far as I know), are capable of charging above 20W.
So, basically my iPhone 12 charged at 20W maximum (thanks to Apple). But, the charger was capable of delivering 30W.

Apple: We removed charger because people already have old chargers at their home.

Also Apple: Please buy NEW charger if you want to charge with maximum speed, 30W.

Note: Current 3rd party iPhone chargers on market limited to either 18W or 20W.

Knowing Apple, this will still take 80-100 minutes for a full charge. Being safe and trying to protect the battery is one thing, but going to extremes to protect it, is just pathetic. And Google does the same thing with its Pixel line-up.
When I know there are phones out there, who fully charge in 15-30 minutes, why should I be obliged to accept this pathetic charging speeds?
My father, who is 72 by the way, has a 65W charging capable phone (bought by me). And after he experienced it, he said he will never go back to normal charging. And that phone has 2 years already and the battery is still going strong (1 day battery phone with no problem). So that myth that your battery will be 70% or whatever, after 2 years, is completely busted.
