The 1/1.57” size of the main camera is actually flagship level !
I am actually impressed. Finally Nokia seems to bring back a good camera phone.

Android versions don't get supported for long enough making old version of Android no longer supported

The new versions of Android have much higher system requirements then what is reasonable and Google under state have heavy the android os is don't help

Hmd global definitely going get complaints about performance and hardware

Clean stick android software means a lot me but it is being let down by the hardware

I think the Snapdragon 870 processor or similar would of been the best choice by hmd global

And personality I want the hole punch trend too die in smartphone so badly just go bezels or pop up camera the screen matters also

If they of keeped the changer in the box
It be hard too fault The phone

"And, of course, there is no included charger in the box, making it smaller and easier to transport."

GSM is this a report or an advertisement?? Not having the charger in the box is not a good thing. Neither for the consumer who will now have to pay extra to buy one separately or for the environment as now there will be 2 separate deliveries to the customers home there by increasing the carbon footprint

I hope are friendship not too hurt by the disagreement over the fair phone 4

I am wondering are you going replace the Nokia 9 Pureview with a Nokia x30 or fair phone 4

              Or keep have both ?

I personally still think the Nokia 9 Pureview out classes either of these phones but it's your choice

€530 for a Snapdragon 695?? And even worse, no charger in the box? Hurry up and go bankrupt hmd. No one likes you

Grey Wolf, 01 Sep 2022What means clean software experience? Lol. I got 45 apps ... moreApparently you also have no idea what clean experience means, yet are still here, in Nokia forums bashing as usual. Glad you're proud of your i+ce, alltough it ain't hard to find it in 99 percent of GSMarena forums.
I already worked with chinese devices enough to be able to scan their hidden agendas, and it ain't a pretty site. You can brag about whatever you want as long as you owe it, but it ain't going to change the facts. And the facts are simple: They make money with something, if they aren't making money with their stolen tech sold as cheap, then they make money with their customers. Or you think everybody works for free so you can buy cheap? I+ce this days is overwelming. It almost feels like the wagon of fo..... has rolled over on the internet. Oh wait... it actually did. Well, the days where the internet was clean and full of usefull information, are long gone. Now Old timers like me need to read ignorance everytime they want to read something... anything for that matter. St... spreads as fast as a virus, even in the tech world, while something smart does not even get a bow.

The X30 is a good step towards the right side for HMD. It has been ages since they launched an interesting product.

Pricing is a bit too high, but it might come down after a few weeks

atichko, 01 Sep 2022The price of HMD goods will always be higher than the offer... moreThe problem is even Samsung being called "oVeRpRicEd" by most readers here, they still offer SD778G for Galaxy A73 at that kind of price. If they can do it, why HMD can't? Or they can just bringing 750G with 4K recording that is still good enough and they can still take advantage of that "Snapdragon 7xx" marketing phrase.
And I had experienced two HMD phones in the past (6 & 6.1 ones), they were great for the first year and after that many problems happened. They may have been going better now, but Nokia-branded phones under HMD is just too much for me that I think it don't deserve to priced this high. Maybe €399 is great for it.

Obviously DOA with these prices as usual with all so called "nokia" phones, but I dig the design on the X30, especially without the useless depth/macro sensor.

atichko, 01 Sep 2022The price of HMD goods will always be higher than the offer... moreThe almighty OEMs you quoted, they all outsource their designs to ODMs, which allows them to significantly reduce the final cost to their devices hence offering more competitive pricing.

HMD design theirs Nokia phones in Finland, all-in-house, which bumps up prices significantly compared to Redmi, Poco, Oppo, etc...But it's all in name of Finnish refinement ! Right ?
                                Wrong.

So what's the excuse now ?

Grey Wolf, 01 Sep 2022What means clean software experience? Lol. I got 45 apps ... moreMIUI is a nice Android based OS with nice customisation options but it does tend to be buggy sometimes. Any phone reviewer will confirm that. Luckily the recent versions of this OS have more little bugs you can easily live with than it used to have.
It depends on what you like. I like both, the clean (say boring) stock Android but I also like the heavily adapted OS'es such as the MIUI, Color OS...

imtiredokay, 01 Sep 2022X30 one has a beautiful design but the price make it bleh. ... moreI'd like you to tell me when was the last time you filmed in 4k and what are those videos for? Stop complaining about things you do not need, just to make it sound bad. If 4k recording is something that makes you buy/not buy a phone, well you should get your perception of reality in check. Most of the people (if not all) here complaining about 4k recording, never owned a PC and barerly have a good enough TV to make those videos have a meaning, yet they complain about something they do not even understand. I bet i play you a full HD recording next to a 4K one, on any phone you want and you'll be having hard times telling me which is which. But hey, is good you can complain about something.

imtiredokay, 01 Sep 2022X30 one has a beautiful design but the price make it bleh. ... moreThe price of HMD goods will always be higher than the offerings from other OEM. We already know that for quite a while so it has no added value to keep on complaining about it. Just look for another brand if you are into the "all (on paper) for nothing".
I use a Motorola G82 5G with the same chipset and it works like a charm for any normal usage, even some gaming but it's not suitable for heavy multitasking and gaming. Again, we know that AMD chooses to have balanced hardware that does not excel at anything but does a very good job at the rest.

one thing for sure even if hmd had used a 778g you people will still be complaining "oh should have used a dimensity abcd or 8gen 1 " sure it's a bit expensive but it is an overall good package
Snapdragon 695 is sufficient for normal people and camera hardware is fairly capable considering you are getting the same main sensor as s22+
if you think x30 is still overpriced (i personally think €450 would be totally justified but still not too bad) why don't you buy g60 or something else which has everything you need
