The only disappointing side about this phone besides the lack of google services it's the camera system, I think Chinese brands lack the balance in their camera systems, like the Mate 50 pro, has 3 cameras but it's built in mind to 4 jobs, ultra wide shots, main wide shots, zoom shots and portraits.
In the nature of portrait shooting there's a certain focal length to be used hence the IPhone and Samsung have that sweet spot of 3X which also make sense cause it doesn't have to crop in, you get clean portrait shots with a perfect focal length. As for the Mate 50 you'd have to use the main lense sacrifice details as you go 2x and above for those portrait shots, they almost had it this time with the variable aperture but still the implementation is very poor to the layout of the camera system.
I think they should've made a 3x optical zoom lense with that variable aperture for portraits, kept the main and ultra wide, then made the periscope lense a 10X optical zoom for those shots and also resulting in much clearer 100x zoom shots
Imagine a 3x lense with a variable aperture, this would be a Dslr killer for sure.

It's pretty much ... morethere are more than 50 satellites in beidou. basic lts like gps but plus with message feature. it is quite useful when you out in the desert for hiking or samewhere is no signal corver. also you cant calling. only sending your location and messages. but it is free anyway.

My dream camera system for the next Mate series from Huawei or any smartphone maker that cares about true photography.
*a 1 inch main lense
*a 3.5x lense with variable aperture that can optically zoom from 3.5 - 5.5x optically, that variable aperture will help with blur in portraits rather than the fake blur we used to nowadays. And the 3.5x lense will also do a hybrid zoom from 5.5x to 9.9x.
*a proper high resolution ultra wide lense
*a 10x high quality periscope lense
*all lenses shoot 4k 120fps and can switch to all lenses during shooting in this mode.
*a well optimized camera app with no lag during use
*good dynamic range
*natural colors and offer other presets like photographic styles from iPhone or Leica styles on Xiaomi.
*provide large sensors in all the camera departments so that the shutter speed can be consistent throughout.
*support log formats for video editing afterwards , also raw formats for editing too.
*ois in all lenses if possible, usually the utrawide doesn't get stabilized I've noticed that
*video quality should better than iPhone in quality but have Sony colors for that natural look.

If this phone was Apples product all the news and reviews would have been filled with excitement and exaggeration. Satellite connection feature which should have been a headline is mentioned as if it is something you found on every other phone.

I already told you this twice but I'm saying it again - The S FE series is regarded as a *budget* flagship, meaning Samsung cut corners of it in many ways so that the main S series remains overall superiour to it. You can't compare a company that releases two high-end phones with different sizes at different times of the year to Samsung.

Zenfone 9 still sustains better performance for both CPU and GPU over prolonged usage, and Z Flip 4's cooling capability is severely limited due to its clamshell design hence there's not much point in bringing it up.
