Oh right, you don't care it has one of deepest blacks, most accurate color, none of that matters the moment you read "LCD". Also using something and understanding something are two separate things. Just because I use LCD display doesn't mean I cannot understand or appreciate OLED technologies.

If no one buys the cheapest model then Apple will justify it by saying people are willing to pay more for more expensive phones now then raise the price further next time.

Same reason why everyone insists so hard on dumb Chrome browser. For them it's hard to login to Google, they want browser to do it all with single login (not that it isn't the same in others already). For these people, downloading GMail app to iOS is already "too much work", it has to come with phone preinstalled. That kind of lazy, not because it's not possible or too complicated.

Acorns, 11 Sep 2022I think at this point in time that's true for about 90... moreI've been with Android for like 9 years and it wasn't particularly hard to move to iOS. Especially since I dumped all ties to Google few years prior the shift and it basically doesn't matter what OS I'm even using. Apple does some things their way, but all of the things that super annoyed me on Android were just not present on iOS. Software support is just outstanding on iOS and no Android brand can match it even this very moment. Annoying, unnecessarily aggressive app killing by most Chinese phone brands was also annoying as hell. It seems like they are literally obsessed with it even today. And what really bugged me was integration of 3rd party password managers like LastPass. I don't know if this improved in Android 11, 12 or 13, but it was horrible in Android 9. It sort of worked, but most of the time, when you had to login to something, it decided to just not work. On iOS, when I set it to be default password manager, it behaves like it's an integral feature of the OS and I can login to webpages and apps using same password manager. Just these 3 things working properly are worth of any other trouble iOS might bring compared to Android.

Pathetic, nearly non existent software support and when it was delivered I still had to wait for weeks to get it, gradual performance decline if you haven't done factory resets constantly, annoying excessive app killing on nearly all Chinese brands, wonky unreliable 3rd party password integration, I just had enough of this crap.

And since you're all whining over iPhones, to me it seems you're all also comparing iPhones from 10 years ago to Android phones from today... I guess this makes all of us wrong then...

Idk about you or which flea market you bought your phones from. But I'm having this flagship OnePlus Android phone since 3 years and it's not slow yet. Moreover it got 3 os updates already. You should know how they always spiraled into slowness for no god damn reason and after factory reset they were again speedy for a while. And I've also been using iPhone for last 4 years, updated to every single update the moment it was released and I never experienced ANYTHING you claim. Maybe people you know are just absolutely clueless with tech, you know, the way you claim I am. There was no mega bugs and mega slowdowns that "ruin day to day use" whatever that means. If I had such great experience with Android phones for last decade, d you think I'd go with iPhone then? I literally forced myself to try iPhone because I was so fed up with Android phone nonsense.

Been owning Android phones since 2010 and never had to factory reset. Sounds like you're just bad with tech. And please tell me why everyone I know with an iPhone DREADS updating to the newest version and always puts it off because it creates more problems than it solves? Its very widely known how many people avoid updating their iPhones because of the instant and constant lag they experience that ruins day to day use. The hundreds of millions of Apple forum entries complaining about software bugs and issues since 2007 are a testament to that. I know people who stick with an older iPhone model for years just to avoid the newest update. Even though with iOS you won't even have access to all the apps if you're on an older version. At least that doesn't happen with Android lol.

So, you're just making this claim that exactly on 5th update, it'll intentionally slow down. And also for some reason on 5th update exactly, it'll drop into this mysterious bootloop. Come on, who are you fooling here? Why do people always have to resort to all this made up fearmongering? This is exactly what kept me from trying iPhones for years and when I decided to try it anyway despite all these "warnings", it turned out 99% of "horror" stories you read online about iPhones are complete fabricated BS.

Both phones will slow down after 5 years.
