I've been using Android for basically a decade and decided to switch to iOS. And while experience is quite different like you've noted, it's not that different that it just can't be usable. A lot of things are just done differently and when you get used to it, it's perfectly fine. You just have to commit yourself to it, if you'll just give up at first moment you encounter something unfamiliar, you'll indeed never be able to switch.

When it comes to iOS vs Android, both are advanced for everyday usage as most popular apps are available on both platforms. The only thing that affects buying is maybe personal preferences. I tried to use an iPhone long ago and every once a while I do try it out to check if maybe the later versions of iOS are changed or anything as such that might make me like it. But every time I do that, the result is the same. iOS just comes as weird or unadaptable to me. The menus, gestures, buttons, arrangements etc everything just seems so different from Android. After having Android for so long, is hard to switch to iOS. Recently checked out an iPhone mini at a store and altho it seemed like a good phone, at the end it's ios that makes me turn away

Everyone said they are intuitive and easy to use but I found the total opposite. Everything seems awkward and complicated to do simple things where android is straight forward. iPhone users may disagree and at the end of the day everyone to their own but personally wouldn't buy an iPhone simply because of iOS.

Buy one and keeps it for 5 years and even then it will be faster and lag less than any ew Android flagship. Turns out much cheaper in the end.

At best, they just stay unchanged. About the iPhone 14, there were rumours that the design will be changed and etc. But all those turned to be wrong. iPhone 14 is the same phone as it's last gen. Who even can tell if iPhone 15 will bring those features ? At the rate apple introduces features on iphones, those might be around at least a few years away from being finally arriving. this is apples goal though, produce standard versions that are high priced, and it gives the illusion that if you spend just a bit more you get the all singing dancing models, which is true, but they made the basic models just inferior enough for most people to then self justify the increased few extra hundred $$$.
It is commercial capitalism at its finest and apple are the kings of making you believe a product is far superior then it actually is, they are very good at the hype train and bigging up products, don't get me wrong, I am coming from the 13 mini to the 14 pro max, but not because they sold me with fudged camera specs, or pointless processor speeds and comparisons, merely i got it because I wanted the latest large screen flagship and it fits with my Macbook pro 14" and existing workflows

It's a vain hope that the 14 completely flops outside of the US because if it doesn't, we'll see prices rising on us next year while shills cheer that on.
