Not sure why more manufacturers don't use the tall aspect ratio especially in the budget segment

See how Xperia 5iv,10iv. They have managed to put 5000 mAh battery in such a small body . Big battery in small phones is possible now. But the structural engineers should work hard and figure out the optimal solution

And the 7a on q3 2023 would most likely use the same tensor as the upcoming 7/pro next quarter, which is essentially exynos on the s22 q1 2021.

Even Samsung's mobile phone division is reportedly going to stop using their in-house chipset starting next year because I acknowledge it's not up to par with the competition. If Google decides to do the same for their 8 series in 2023, then there's hope for 8a in 2024 (about a pandemic long from now).

The SD778 has been consistently shown in the reviews on this site to be more battery efficient than the flagship SD888 and SD8g1. This chipset has been used on so many phones for 2 consecutive years yet none of them is even remotely small.

I can totally understand how brands with relatively compact flagship models don't want to put out a similar midranger because it would negatively impact the sales of their flagship. But brands without that kind of flagship could have undercut those with by releasing a relatively compact midranger with SD778 for longer SoT.

It would be nice if they really do make a compact phone. Somthing the size of the Pixel 5. But I still won't buy another Pixel until they have a high quality modem in it. The Pixel 6, 6a, and 6pro and just a disaster in terms of reception and connection issues. It's the one big downside of having dropped the Qualcomm chipsets. The Samsung Exynos moden in the tensor chip is terrible.

                                        Been saying this for ages.
They need to release a compact 6-6.1" version of the pro with the same camera setup, features and performance.
Apple is one of the only ones to offer this with the pro and pro max.
