you have to suffer, 16 Sep 2022the redmi note 4 have aluminum frame, even back. they are d... moreIf it wasn't for gimmick called wireless charging, we'd have had aluminium or stainless steel or some lighter but tougher/stronger metal alloy instead of this gimmicky glass. It would've been an interesting thing for R&D to find tough but lightweight and cheap metal alloy to use.
As for ones used plastic frame, if they're so concerned with cutting costs, why on earth don't they just use plastic back and an aluminium frame and get rid of this gimmicky material called glass which has no practical use other than the screen? They'd even use plastic frame just to have make up for the budget to use glass back! Gone are the days of 10 years ago when science and common sense prevailed among OEMs instead of evil marketing (except for Apple of course, the evilest one, responsible for popularizing glass backs, unremovable battery, headphone jack and microSD removal, hijacking user freedom etc etc)

He just find excuses to bash phones expensive like Sony and Apple, but never gives reason why xiaomi phones in Europe have same price , despite being cheaper to make.
According to him, difference and Galaxy S Ultra, Iphone pro max, vivo X series, xperia 1 series and Xiaomi K series is just profit margin. In his head, all them are equal, including the pieces.

Sure they wait until I bought 11T pro to get one with OIS again....
It sounds not half bad on paper but so did the 11T pro. I want to see if it supports AptX/HD/Adapritve, if it has Atmos and Vision and if it is tuned by a branded company.
Because these really made up well for the poor 108mp OIS-less camera on the 11T Pro.
Regardless, it wil cost a lot more ince it arrives in Saudi as usual :( so I will just wait.

How much more is cost of aluminium frame over plastic? I think it's lazy excuse for "bringing price down".
If you remember couple years ago, good amount of mid range smartphones had premium materials. Especially Xiaomi ones.
