This is 2022 and this is a 1000euro phone. Yes it has flagship features like ip68,software support,great cameras(no telephoto for the price though),but it feels more like an iphone 12/13 S with 6gb of ram.
No wonder the sale of this and especially the 14plus are so low from the first days compared to the more expensive Pro lineup.
Apple butchering the main iphone series phones for the more expensive Pro ones sucks big time, like the Esim only US models.

We all know the iph... moreLol, iPhones have very good displays. My past iPhone 12 was on the same level as my Galaxy S21, in the display compartment.
iPhones have other minuses, but display quality is certainly not one of them.

We all know the iphone 14 is the sacrificial lamb so people will get the pro variant. Or the iphone 13 and save some money.

And 60Hz is 60Hz. That 60Hz whatever you’re talking about is just the same as 60Hz in a well-optimized Android, so stop making up nonsense. I can tell because I’m on my 13 Pro Max sometimes switching between power saving and not. Once you load a lot of apps it can get a little choppy, though not as bad as any Android phone even with high RAM and powerful chipset.
Touch response is excellent but a 60Hz refresh rate remains 60Hz

I don’t think this particular device will score that well. Specs are very outdated, its predecessor is better value for money. Only better selfie camera doesn’t warrant an upgrade

Also, don’t care about that but just give me back the headphone jack. My iPad and MacBook all use it but my iPhone is special so I have to use this dongle, makes no sense to me.
Wireless headphones have several disadvantages not only price, but having to charge them, and degrading batteries that are not replaceable make them disposable after few years.

Sure, for you folks, if it has 5000 Hz it’s best display ever, even if it’s s**ttiest OLED you can get or average at best. I’d frankly take good display of any kind over average with high refresh. When OS and chipset work so smoothly together device doesn’t ever stutter at anything, refresh doesn’t even make much of a differnce. On OLEDs even more so because they hardly have any ghosting and way Apple does scrolling animations it gives perception of greater smoothness.
I wouldn’t upgrade to vanilla iPhone 14, but if I had to buy one now fresh or as replacement if my current one failed, they are still very good phones, even with 60Hz display.

I dont really think this Iphone 14 model is bad because of the A15 chip or because it doesnt feel like a substantial upgrade coming from the Iphone 13, the problematic issue is that the US version lacks the SIM tray, and for those living where E-sim is almost or completely nonexistant, it is really unfair to "have" to purchase the more expensive "International" model which does have the SIM tray. This tech, unlike bluetooth headphones, for instance, will not become widespread in few years. Is it that much more expensive for Apple to release two models, one containing the SIM tray and the other without it?

I’m an iPhone user, and I say that the vanilla iPhone 14 is the greediest and worst thing Apple has ever done. I’m not surprised and I love how the rest of the iPhone 14 lineup doesn’t exist to people on GSMArena just because of how bad of a deal they are compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Interestingly, it’s the first time Apple used an older chipset in a vanilla model compared to the upper-end flagships. Oppo did this with the find X5 having the 888 and the Pro having the 8 gen 1. There was a difference between the chip in the vanila 13 and 13 Pro model, however, and I think it was the number of votes.

The vanilla version of the iPhone 14 is the worst basic iPhone model ever. Apple won't be as successful as the iPhone 13 because of the same performance chipset recycling as the previous year, the very outdated 60Hz display, and the price that has risen too much except in some countries.
