As developers of the popular Cronosurf Wave chronograph for Wear OS, we are excited to see this unique design. However, we fully agree that if the black circular bezel around the usable display area is huge, watch faces with small elements, like any chronograph has, will look odd. If the bezel is small though, it will be one of the best smart watch designs ever!

Rumors say that is 14mm thickness (AW is 10.7mm, GW is 9.8mm), and while "size" is 40mm, the screen's real state is just 30mm.
Damn, is not even out and sounds so antique.

I personally use iPhone 11 pro, i use Samsung s20 ultra and i sold the smartwatch... Ehm I h*te smartwatches.

Maybe it doesn't look like Apple watch, but it is one by concept - proprietary accessories, with even wider fake "bezelless bezels" fragile screen, fast burning charge. But it is not comparable to current apple watch generation, it's more like first or second one by features and maturity. And I agree with commenters - Google will dump it soon as 90% of their other devices and services.
But the worst part for me - there is not even a drop of creativity in this piece.

Am I the only one that prefers the Apple more rectangular design? I've wanted a WearOS watch for a while, but I really haven't seen anything I like. Also, IDK how people are saying this looks like the Apple watch. This thing looks kind of fugly and definition-less IMO. I was still interested until I saw the expected price range.

Before Samsung created Wear OS 3 there were only household brands like TicWatch (yes that is a brand) and a couple regular watch brands who wanted a smartwatch in their portfolio.
Wear OS sales grew by around 4,000% over night when Samsung released the Galaxy Watch 4.

And Google will abandon it in what, like 2 or 3 years max? They already dropped the Pixelbook. And how long did Google literally abandoned WearOS to the point Apple leapfrogged it? Not gonna be tricked by Google again.
