Well Samsung just dont tell us of the new technology but let us know how is this more secure than Face ID which has 1:1,000,000 probability of unlocking compared to Touch ID of 1:50,000 probability. So is your up to 1:10,000,000 now?

It sucks if i have to remove my gloves to unlock my phone. But guess what, i ain't stupid to use my phone outside during winter. If i receive a call i have my wireless headset.
