It's not because Apple was bored and just wanted to create something really boring, it's housing bunch of rather important sensors in there. Sensors that no other phone has. Do you now understand why notch is there? My guess is no, given you actually blurred that out.

Meanwhile iPhone users don't care and just enjoy the amazing FaceID that everyone keeps reinventing and in the end still not using. All this hate for notch is totally exaggerated because the thing isn't even that annoying. Wasn't when I first got it and isn't after living with it for 4 years. Not once it got in my way and it's not annoying when watching movies full screen either.

Has anyone tested if it works to unlock, if you are totally wasted, sweating a lot or been beaten? I still only use fps. Simply not into selfies.!

Another useless and costly gimmick to research they would do better if their phones would charge up to 250W and not laughable 25W.
Fingerprint scanner and a complex password is always better than this.
