pufanu, 28 Sep 2022There is no such thing as a perfect phone. And who said eve... moreMan even monthly updates means company fused something greatly.
Perfect company and perfect phone would run like a brand new without any major updates for at least year.
Those so called security updates are nothing just bug fixes.
Perfect phone would have othing to fix.
This is the oonly way how company releases something which phone could have when was unveiled.
Face scanner after several updates when phone had noone when released??? Just a crap which company greatly pissed.
Many else examples could be used this way.

120W charging phones are toped to full in 20 minutes so you spend electricity for 20 minutes instead of 2 hours.

A perfect phone dont needs security updates every week or so.
Perfect phone works for a very long time without any needs or issues.
Look at Apple they also dont release updates every week or so.

I tend to keep my phones for longer than 3 years and I always buy unlocked, non-carrier, non-contract. Security updates only every 3-4 months is a sad joke. Your phone is fine for the price. But in the higher tier bracket there is more support to be expected. Sadly, Xiaomi isn't providing it. I mean, you can't even use nav gestures with 3rd party launchers. C'mon, now... It's my first and last Mi phone.

I'd rather have even 10W charging with good software support than 1000W with a ton of bugs and little to no updates for 2 years. And this is coming from a Mi 10 user. Good phone, bad software.
Man you funny.
I have Mi 11 lite 5G my software support is good enough maybe depends where you live
and I am EU citizen.
Having no bugs in my phone using it i.e. bought it last week of july 2021 and in first time setup disabled every ads since then phone works as it should have no complains.
Your many years of support is for no use because like with most users even you will uograde your phone to a new every 2-3 years on a monthly or yearly carriers plan from your network provider.
For that and only for that reason it really does not matters wherer you have a top specced samsung or a Nubia red magic for 500 with almost no software support.
Even if you does not update it wont mean your phone is not working properly.
Know many people with very old first generation of touch phones like Samsung S2 or Sony Tipo Xiaomi 4X, Lenovo P1 etc and no problems with that.
Dont know like you but i get security updates every 3-4 months and my phone working as it should. If you had bad experiences i can understand noone is perfect and when you have a bad luck even a top brand and most pricey phone can get broken.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2022In terms of charging speed, I can't deny that Samsung ... moreMan samsung is nothing just a robbery on a customer.
Just for nice example Samsung Fold versus Xiaomi fold.
If you put both to comparison Xiaomi have a lot better specs for much less moeny.
Same can be used on Samsung flip and Motorola flip.
Many else phones are way cheaper than samsung and are good enough.
Yes samsung will give you nice 4 years of updates and 5 years of security but please will you be using the same phone for 5 years??? I dont think so.
Most chinese phones depends on specs and cost last 2-3 years in which time most people wil swap for new device because like with everything else it loosing value over time greatly.
And for electricity bill saving and for sake of my planet a faster is better in here this time.
So rather 120W chinese charging phone than 25W samsung device with 5 years of upgrades which i will sell anyway after 2-3 years.

Samsung user, 27 Sep 2022Samsung 25W is literally 50% charge per 30 minutes. That en... moreSamsung 25W is literally 50% charge per 30 minutes. That enough charging speed for any employed person.
Imagine having faster charging speed than samsung, only to spend those saved time by browsing tiktok or onlyfans.
Thats why ultra pro super fast charging speed only favourable by unemployed person.
Man its not 50% Z fold 4 have 4400 mAh and its said its 50% in 30 minutes and thats two spilt 2200 mAh cells or so.
So one 5000 mAh cell will be like 90 minutes full charge and like 40 minites to get 50%.
M51 have 7000 mAh cell 25W charging and takes 2 hours to full.
And faster charging is not for tiktok but to save time on many esle things.
Imagine a household where 6 people have 25W samsung charging phones with 5000 mAh.
How much they spend on electricity.
Now imagine same household with 6 people charging for example Motorola edge 30 ultra, or xiaomi 12S pro, IQOO 8 pro or Honor magic 4 pro with a 100+W charging where phone battery gets full in less than 30 minutes.
Every single day they save a lot on electricity bill.
Its not always what you think.
Nowdays everything is very costly and will be even worse if you compare what could your dad or grandpa buy for their salary back at time when they were at your age or less and what they can afford now.
In past 25% of todays 100 eur were enough to fill your shopping trolley to fill it to full for 6 people in household for a week.
Nowdays even 100 eur is not enough for food for 6 people for 5-7 days when i see the prices everywhere.

SShock, 27 Sep 2022Thing is, everyone is screaming about watts for charging, A... moreYeah, it’s a bit strange how Apple doesn’t mention near-30W charging speeds for their Pro Max models. It’s honestly a bit surprising given how they like to say everything they do is so-called “innovation”. The speeds aren’t exactly innovative, but I think their good quality control is enough to deal with their scary repair prices (third party fix? Ever seen how Face ID gets disabled on the iPhone 13 models if you don’t use a genuine Apple display?), and to deal with the latter I would just get a really good case to prevent my phone from getting damaged. I use a thick Otterbox case sold here in the US. I don’t know if they are sold outside of the country though.
Apple’s fast charging is an overlooked feature by Apple in my opinion.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2022I'd rather have a 2023 flagship with 25W than usb 2.0 ..
Man there is nothing wrong on USB 2.0 which yiu use inky with data transfer via cable from one device to another which is simething you do maybe once or twice a month. But you charging your phone much more often than using usb 2.0
And to be more specific and exact "TIME IS MONEY" in other words faster charger means less time charging and less electricity being used so it will make big savings on your electricity bill especialy if you live in household with 4-6 or even more people.

Android flagship buyers have very high propensity to upgrade, like every two years... in this case, the benefit of super fast charging still outweighs the perceived effect battery longevity (which by the way should be analysed in the context of improving battery charging tech)
