Anyhow, my expectation is that a Chinese phone's battery (which undergoes faster charging) should last 2+ years at least. To me, that's a huge convenience.

For the first one, the battery lasted very well till about 3 years. For the other one, the battery is absolutely fine after 1.5 years of use.
Also, the replacement cost is less than 20 USD. So I am not sure what the issue is?

Samsung has definitely turned into Apple. Giving it's users a lousy upgrades year after year and the only thing improving is the price. I guess I will be keeping my N20U SD until it falls apart since only thing they've upgraded for several years is putting 10x optical zoom.

Fast charging is always bad for the battery, no matter how much they try add battery related gimmicks. It may work for a while but of course, will damage the battery in long run

I'd rather have even 10W charging with good software support than 1000W with a ton of bugs and little to no updates for 2 years. And this is coming from a Mi 10 user. Good phone, bad software.

S21, 22, and now 23 all seem to not bring anything premium and worth being the once android kings they were.
I will just get a great value device fro Xiaomi or oneplus I don't know

I think I would need to continue with OnePlus, at the next change. This is despite their change in software direction (complication vs simplicity) that I don't really like based on publically available information so far.

And it’s one of rare ones I don’t roast as much for charger removal. While stupid, it’s not even as problematic as brands that brag about certain high charge speed and then not even include the charger. How are you bragging about charge speed and then let users use some generic 5V 1.5A charger? Exception are Chinese brands that brag about speeds and actually still include charger. I allow that, even if I believe fast charging is stupid and usually unnecessary, but at least what they brag about is what user can actually experience out of the box.

Imagine having faster charging speed than samsung, only to spend those saved time by browsing tiktok or onlyfans.
Thats why ultra pro super fast charging speed only favourable by unemployed person.

If Samsung can't make a base mode S series phone last as long as an iPhone 13 (regular), I don't want it. The S22 was so bad, the ZenPhone9 proves you can have a great flagship in a compact size
