Yes, some folks have crashed actual vehicles to test Apple’s new safety feature.

    The feature runs actively in the background when it detects you are in a car. It also makes sense because most people these days plug their phone in before driving, for both topping up their battery, and also to activate Apple CarPlay or AndroidAuto. These things which were omitted from this so called test.

The guy was mocking iPhone users with "you'll listen to AirPods while you're waiting for emergency responders" and me literally pointing you to that quote and you STILL don't get it. I WAS MOCKING him for his lame attempt at mocking this feature that can potentially save lives by throwing crap Android fanboys constantly brag the most about. Jesus christ almighty.

          Of course it wont work 100% of the time - just like airbags, seatbelts, pre-crash features of cars also don't always work. These safety systems are always iffy. Technology has only come so far. It'll get better and better with time.

            I just wonder how many drunk people will fall down and emergency services find a drunk sleeping on the floor?

              No point arguing, protecting or advocating. The company doesn't belongs to you. You still need to pay in full amount to own one. After all it's just a phone.

                  If you want 24/7/365 monitoring, then your device is always going to activate it's gyro, accelerometer, barometer, microphone, network location, and that's going to drain your batteries FAST. And I haven't even mentioned the GPS activation yet.

                  These features are designed carefully for a reason, a smartphone is an exercise in compromises. Google had to nerf this feature before, because a lot of people were getting excess battery drain.

Automatic calling is for people who are unconscious or seriously injured. If you can talk and hold your phone, it isn't needed. Anyway, you should learn to talk like a normal person.
