""And, it is not just Jio; Airtel and the Tatas, too, have joined hands in developing 5G network solutions. Tata has developed O-RAN-based radio and NSA/SA core, and has integrated a totally indigenous telecom stack, leveraging the capabilities of its group companies and partners. NSA, or non-standalone architecture, is essentially 5G built over an existing 4G network, while SA or standalone architecture, is independent 5G with no connection with any existing network. Separately, Tata Consultancy Services, a software giant, will bring its expertise in systems integration, with the network and equipment increasingly embedded into the software.""

[deleted post]India definitely has achievement a lot since 2014 in some important fields.
Ease of doing business
Innovation
Infrastructure
I'm not going to debate on this since it seems like you have a different opinion on this. I don't have time and energy for that.

Naveen Chaudhary, 01 Oct 2022Improvement in 4G coverage could have done wonders, 5G wasn... more5G is non ionizing radiation which means it doesn't have enough energy to move electrons to energy states. For example Gamma and X ray is ionising. These can move electrons from their orbits which causes the compounds making your cell to mess up and damage DNA. Non ionisimg radiation MAY cause heating though. Even visible light is a radiation just non ionising. Maybe further studies COULD show that non ionising radiation may cause some other effects on body but they are still unproven. Please feel free to point out any mistakes🙏

They have definitely collaborated with international partners, used their technologies and then developed some and make it work. IIT Madras has a good article on it. I'll post a snippet from that.

Improvement in 4G coverage could have done wonders, 5G wasn't needed at all. Anyways, still waiting for any reports on its effetcs on human body, radiation is radiation afterall

[deleted post]Its easy for you to say.. do you know that the countries that received 5G early.. have data that costs 10 times more.. now you will say the ratio of users are low.. but why they profit so much then? Whereas Indian companies are running at loss. You want cheap data.. you want it when you travel across a giant country while riding a train.. but you complain when data price rise..

With average 1.5gb / day data pack, it would take only seconds before you exaust all your data. Then you'll get 80kbps, then what's the point of high speed anyway? They need to provide unlimited data, or atleast more than 3gb/day, otherwise it's total waste.

[deleted post]It is an achievement for a nation like India which has always been lagging behind the rest of the world.
Also 5G is indigenous which is a landmark achievement for the country since they are not relying on foreign tech.
Also, GSMArena is just posting the news as it is. You are the one with an agenda.

[deleted post]You are quite misinformed about 5G. It has existed since long but was in a testing phase. Nationwide rollout takes a lot of time. If it has a problem in it or 5G speeds aren't so fast, then same people as you will be complaining again that is so slow

[deleted post]It is not easy to deploy 5G in a very large country like India. Clearly you are from some tiny unknown place where one 5G tower is enough for everyone
