I mean it's not like the software updates do anything for the pixel line when they've brought back previous issues/created more or never fixed current issues. (pointless going "yay 4 years of software support and frequent updates that never actually fix the issues")

Such a flop... Better they've focused on developing GCam for all vendors, and native android long term support for all vendors, then trying to compete with all partners on android.
Xperia 5 IV looks better for me specification wise, except OS support, and perhaps screen size for someone.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2022lol this dude listed and had every issue in the book lol su... moreWell I've got an Oppo Find X5 now (traded the 6 pro in for it) and have had none of these issues and a really enjoyable, consistent device so yeah, definitely the SoC (plus the Samsung galaxy s22 series are having the exact same issues which also appeared on the S20 stories which funnily enough is where most the parts in the tensor SoC are from.
If WiFi is cutting out its the WiFi chip which is integrated in to the SoC. Same for Bluetooth, same for the overheating issues. I guess you've owned the pixel 6 pro though so have hands on experience? (owned mine from January to July, completely had enough of the inconsistent buggy experience).

I have a feeling this Tensor is the Exynos from Samsung, just rebrand and use by Google now.
Although it design specifically for pixel phone, but the performance as GREAT as Exynos

The only thing I care about, which is not reported on in this article, is whether the chipset has a new modem in it or whether its the same modem as in the Pixel 6, with all of the horrible signal receptions problems.

Awful design choice with that glossy, shiny back. I don't care if people put it in a case. Many of us don't. It's weird Google are behind the curve of matte backs when they did it for the Pixel 2, 3 and 4... I guess they're just cutting costs.

We have been bombarded with tons of leaked renders of the 7 and 7 Pro since February, and seven months later, these handsets look old to me.
Early advertising through leaks and rumors makes this device less interesting when it finally comes available. Pffff.
