So you do admit that it's all about capitalism and that profiteering is okay. It's what businesses do, right ? It's okay if Apple does that same, since you defend Apple all the time. Let me tell you it's also okay if you buy a €1300 Android flagship and it doesn't get 5 major OS updates, because that costs them money and like you mentioned, capitalism is okay. So I would command that you stop complaining over and over about Android software support from now on. Let's all support capitalism

      There's been rumours that Apple might add ads to their apps, but it haven't happened and even if it does it just means like those restaurant recommendations if i search restaurants, top of the search result is paid search results of restaurant. Which i don't see anything bad, more likely i find popular restaurant when i visit new city or country.

I really doubt Apple will add ads to their apps. It won't turn well for them. But if it means like opening maps and getting first search result of restaurant from paid source, i can see that's happening and i see that as positive thing, because then i can find a good? new restaurant from a new country, city etc. But if i'm seeing random ads in different apps, that's really big NO

Why do you think Xiaomi phones used to have flagship components and costed 350€ and now they are charging 800€ for same series, just newer models? Or why they made Ultra models and just throw all the specs they can at it just to charge 1400€ for it? They aren't doing it to please you lot, they are doing it to see how far people are willing to pay even for a Xiaomi. But no one ever complains over that and literally EVERYONE complains when Apple does it. See the freaking hypocrisy?

                    Too expensive, just for a big display iPhone, with last year chipset.
                    You can get an open box iPhone 13 Pro Max for the exact same money. Or if you want to go even cheaper, you can get an iPhone 13 Pro.
                    I wonder, if this will flop, like the Mini series, will Apple cancel this Plus series too? Lol.

Because a) this is my first iPhone so there is no brand snobbery and b) I haven't upgraded yet because I don't feel the need to do it, it's still absolutely smooth at everything I do, does everything exactly the way I want it and I got most of features iPhone 14 users have (software wise anyway via iOS 16). I'd say I'm voting with my wallet pretty well.

                          I'm planning on getting Galaxy S23 if Samsung will give us European users Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but if they won't, I'll wait for iPhone 15. If they bring "Dynamic Island" and USB-C to vanilla iPhone 15, it's likely I'll finally make an upgrade after 5 years of using iPhone XR. Does that sound like what brand snob would say or does it sound rather logical and smart way of using the wallet?

                          However, if my phone got smashed suddenly or suddenly died and I was left without a phone, it's very likely I'd just grab vanilla iPhone 14. I have no major complaints on software side of iPhones and iOS is really maintained superbly and I have no issues with 60Hz and it would be a massive upgrade to XR. And now that I know I'd be happy with iPhone, it's possible I'd even go for Pro model. XR was cheapest at the time (excluding SE) and I was still unsure if I'll like it after dumping Android. Turns out, I do like it.

                          Detailed enough how much of a irrational snob I am?

                                I know first hand and the promotions of apps and highlighted apps in freaking App Store are literally expected thing. It's the whole point to make users aware of popular apps, trending apps, new apps, updated apps. I can't believe you jokers are complaining over that. It's MEANT to be that way and it's all done exactly as you would expect. It's not just random ad banner stuck on top of the app like in so many Android apps. It's like you all don't even know what you're even talking about.

                                Secondly, there is NO ads in Weather app. I currently have it open and there is NOTHING in it except weather related stuff.

                                I've even installed Stocks because I don't use it otherwise and behold, NO ADS. It's just news feed from Yahoo Finance and stock exchange charts of companies.

                                Again, stop making s**t up. It's desperate and pathetic and I don't understand why you all feel such need to s**t on Apple 24/7 with constant made up BS.

Is there really just a random RAID Shadow Legends ad plopped just somewhere in the App Store or it's the standard app promotions any sane person would expect to find in an APP STORE?
