As an owner of One Plus Nord, I can say (8.Oct 2022): I have not got, onto my mobile (in Europe) any messages about android 12 upgrades or even security updates! Sorry, fuck off, manager of red number ones!

I have had 6 phones with MIUI and they always feel legit unusable without a custom ROM. Bloated and extremely customized with no benefit to the user experience. You have to spend an hour turning off all of these settings Xiaomi enables by default that have no global toggle. Lockscreen notifications disappear if you unlock your phone even if you don't interact with the notification. 6 phones with a UI I don't like may sound like a lot, but I have had over 30 devices since 2010. The only Xiaomi phones I have kept are the ones that have had good custom ROMs; Mi 8 SE and Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Mi 8 SE is still one of my favorite phones to date despite MIUI. I'm using it right now. The others have all been plain Android phones... Pixel 6a, Pixel 4a, Moto X 2014.

As MIUI user for last 6 years i believe i have all knowledge and right to tell everyone that MIUI is the worst UI ever. It had and for now has so much bugs, problems, optimalization issues. It was mediocre on MIUI10 only becuase this software had good battery life. MIUI11, MIUI12 and now MIUI13 are abomination. I test these softwares on Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 4x, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8T, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Mi9T, Mi9T Pro, Mi10 Lite 5G, Mi11i. For now i switched on all these phones except Mi11i and Mi10 Lite 5G to Custom ROMs e.g. EvolutionX, PixysOS, Pixel Experience and ArrowsOS. It's huge gap between MIUI and other so called UI's. Xiaomi is huge pain in the ass because of these unlockings. For now i use OnePlus 8T with OOS and Mi9T Pro with EvoX. I'll never switch to MIUI again neither buy these xiaomi phones. Mi9T Pro was promised to receive MIUI13 and guess what, it didn't. This corporation is a joke.

Ok fine what about Oxygen OS aka Color OS? Zen UI? Xperia UI? Rog UI? My UX? Funtouch? and so on. I'll tell you. All of them are a lot worse then MIUI trust me.

Also minimum bloatware that is now available on MIUI is huge win for Xiaomi. MIUI improved a lot and did amazing job trust me. If you don't believe me see in Google by yourself.
"How to debloat OneUI? How do I remove bloatware from OneUI? How do I get rid of bloat on my Samsung phone? How do I Debloat my Samsung phone without rooting? Etc."
People around the world are asking Google all the time these questions. Good luck with OneUI full of bloatware and double apps. Peace. ✌️

It's well known MIUI has tons of bloatware as well, with unwanted apps/games, double apps.
You do realize Samsung makes Snapdragon powered phones as well? The world doesn't revolve around your country which gets Exynos.
Rooting isn't as popular anymore, 90% of people doesn't even care about that.

Not like Samsung One UI full of bloatware and double apps that you will have pain in the a** to remove. Plus all Xiaomi phones are easy to root with Snapdragon CPU not that ugly Exynos crap. Neither.
I've tried many custom ROMs for the OP7Pro and all of them deliver horrible battery life, like 2-3h SOT. But I would go with CrDroid, it has the most features and gets updated regularly.
