Pixel 7 gets the new buds and 7 pro gets watch... I'll be expecting Facebook marketplace and eBay to be flooded with these items around Christmas time

They reviews have explained the weaknesses and strengths very well. They even cover things like photos of moving subjects and motion blur which is hard to find elsewhere. They also cover things like zero shutter lag. One example is the Xiaomi 12 which I bought. One of the weaknesses hoghlighted was relatively high noise in indoor shots. Gsmarena's review states 'noise is non-existent even indoors'. There is absolutely no doubt that Dxomark's conclusion is way more reflective at least when comparing the Xiaomi 12 against previous phones I owned

It is great that the phone gets (for example) high rating for noise reduction, but on the photo you see that all details are gone due to the reduction. Or high rating for overall image quality (they looked quite clear and with good amount of detail), but not mentioned that 90 % of photos were totally out of focus by several meters. And many, many other ratings when phones were rated higher than full-frame DSLR and so on...
        DxOmark is absolutely the worst by far.

            Google addressed skin tone correction for people with dark(er) skin to better represent them on photos, but I wonder if anyone (especially Google since they do more software procesing) will ever address people with freckles. Literally all photos I've seen are just absolute garbage mess because photo filtering just freaks out on freckles and turns them into oil painting. It's really bad.

                And then put videos below comparing it with the S22 and the Honor Ultimate? Lmao why not put videos comparing with the 14 Pro Max? I like the Pixel, cameras and software very good but i've seen comparisons with 14 Pro and video is not even close. Specially stabilization...

                  While dxomark methodology and results are certainly very interesting and informative, it needs to be considerer, that they test the devices if the manufacturer pays for it. Such business model is inherently vulnerable to bias. Last time I read their review on the Honor MAgic ultimate and compared their example shots with other presented examples from other cameraphones I couldn't help but disagree with the reviewers in my evaluation of those sample shots.
                  That being said, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is without a doubt a very competent camera and provides one of the most sophisticated image fusion algorithms but whether it is really the best or not - that's something I would not necessarily trust on dxomark scores.

                    So they thrash talk it, just because they don't like hard facts that go against their opinions.

                          Fearghast, 14 Oct 2022The finally score is traditionally BS, but they have nice s... moreFor The S21 Ultra for example, they didn't even test the 10 times zoom and instead take only max 7times photo, not using it's periscope at all, leading to the S20 scoring better in zoom than the S21.


                          My Motorola one zoom got a fairly low score for what it is.

                          We also have an realme 8pro here, it scored significantly higher, and it has less accurate colour reproduction (except in photos taken with flah), and doesn't have OIS.

                          Neither does it have a Telephoto with OIS (the main cam can do a 3 times sensor crop to native 12MP atleast, but wince there is no OIS it's rather shaky). And it also has an weaker ultrawide.

                          There is also the Redmi Note 10pro getting almost the same score as the realme 8pro in zoom, meanwhile at the 8pro test you can clearly see how it is not even close between them, as the realme works with native 12MP images at 3times zoom, and the realme native 1.3MP upscaled to 12MP.


                          The quality in zoom of the 8pro is similar to the one zoom, it's just shaky and it doesn't work at low light either.


                          There were also a few months were an Honor phone had the best score for stabilisation and It didn't even have OIS.


                          It also happens that some phones get a lower score after like a year, happened to the Mi 11 Ultra for example.

Since Google contro... moredo you not think it's got something to do with the fact that google imaging software is simply the best... Why do think modders on XDA are always coming out with gcam mods for different OEMS 108MP sensor on the S22 ultra but people are using GCAM? You just sound so salty. I can just tell you're one of them people that hates Google because "they sell your data"

                              Fake zoom is exposed when you know what you're zooming in on? What a surprise!

                              But i love how the corrupt DxOmark words it to keep the score high.

                                Good from google, the price is below 14 Pro, Magic4 Can make good pictures above them. But unfortunately the performance of the Tensor is still below them.

                                        The finally score is traditionally BS, but they have nice samples and comparison there as well - so that part is at least worth a look.
