Telegram has point tpoint encryption too. But nobody ever talks about TLS Versions or the kex algorithms being used and on which servers. However I've never used what's app and don't plan to. Nothing is ever secure because it's publicly hosted plain and simple. It's only as secure as they want it to be until it's not.
