Yeah, the phone is a big upgrade from the S22 ultra.
looks like Sammy patch up a note 20 with different housing and labeled it S22 Ultra.
Anyway, i fyou can afford the S23 ultra, GO FOR IT. otherwise save your money and stay away from oversaturated pics from the S22 ultra.

I'm absolutely excited to see how much temperature we can crunch on this phone when it hits the market. I hope samsung finally reaches their obvious 101°C target soon. I'll be happy if they manage to achieve that under three seconds. (And if it's waterproof, I'll be able to use it as a free heater, which is a big plus.)

What were you people expecting? S8 G2 is still TSMC 4nm, it's going to be the same thing as S8+ G1. S8 G2 might have better burst performance due to QComm allowing it to boost higher initially to have something for marketing the new SoC, but sustained perf will be very similar.

The only reason I haven't bought a new Samsung phone and I still have the s10+ with broke screen and removed camera class it's the Exynos chips.
I really don't get why they keep pushing them only in Europe.
It's proven worse every time, yet they don't give us the choice.

gsm rena, 23 Oct 2022gos issue again????If you didn't know GOS is pretty good for gaming, it throttles and maintains perfomance in games so that you use 5-6 W of power instead of blasting full 11 W of power and maintaining FPS for only 15 mins.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2022they are a nightmare, go watch battery drain test of p50 pr... moreI've got to say I think kirin were the overall best SoC when I had the P40 pro. Kirin 990 was 1st SoC with an integrated modem which was nice, an amazing ISP for photography and videography (I know it wasn't really 6000 fps but it could record way slower than my mates S20 ultra, never seen a phone able to handle slo mo so well). Seemed to run my phone very efficiently considering I was having to use Web pages as alternatives to YouTube, banking etc.
Shame about Huawei and kirin SoCs, they made the best android devices by miles with actual useful hardware and software features.

My phone allows an extra 5gb of ram from the ufs 3.1 storage which my phone is using around 11gb of ram constantly now. Is this a trick or is it processing the 5gb of internal storage as ram differently?

Get 10 hours SoT from 80%-20%, game for hours and it gets warm at best with a case on, quickest and smoothest phone I've used and keeps pace/beats the likes of iPhone 13 Pro max, Samsung galaxy s22's and the pixel 6 pro (smoother and more efficient than the pixel 6 pro by a lot) in day to day usage.
It can have problems with heat and throttle a bit under constant high usage but nothing like what the pixel 6 pro was like and warm to hot at idle or throttling as heavy as the 8 gen 1.

Rosso, 22 Oct 2022I wouldn't say all android's are inefficient, 870... morethey are a nightmare, go watch battery drain test of p50 pro kirin vs snapdragon version, there is like 30% less battery life with snapdragon which is a HUGE difference, kirin version is almost on pair with 13 pro max while the snapdragon version can't keep with s22 ultra.

Geekerwan did a great video on explaining why a high benchmark score doesn't mean chip is great, because it might be achieving that by using huge amounts of power.

Why doesn't this site show last years first geekbench score for the S22 Ultra for comparison reference?
