This companies especially samsung are dumb, they do not understand that people need to produce full lenght high quality movies with their phones, this samsungs apple and whutnut just want to stop creation. This is the truth. I mean 800k would be what people actually need to film their farts exiting, but 8k would do the job too. Everything less then that, you won't see the fart.

I always record video in 4K and then downscale it to 1080p. It always shows better quality than native 1080p video. Likewise, I had the chance to play with an 8K/30fps HDR10 video recording from my friend's V60 and then downscale it to the 4K/30fps resolution. Needless to say, it shows much better quality than native 4K/30fps video. Even I can agree that 8K resolution is far from mainstream, but I definitely can see great use of it to create a better quality 4K video.

It's about time you have a reality check where smart techies aren't sheeps.

How about instead of wasting resources on this useless nonsense, they start working on putting expandable storage and headphone jacks back in their flagships? Do they even pay attention to consumers?

I've never had an update go wrong, not even during my Cyanogen flashing days. And even if it were to happen, I'll just reflash it myself.

I'd rather not lose the space for the second partition. The OS takes up too much space anyway.

What Android should do is dynamic allocation. Dedicate some space for the update, which can be used by the user as reserve space when space is low. When update is available it can free up the space or ask the user to do it, then prepare and do the update. Then lock the partition for a few more days and then make it available for the user.
This is only if the user chose to have this seamless update enabled.

The advantage about this partition layout is that you always can revert an update by just booting to the other partition slot.
