I agree with most here.
It is an useless feature when most big updates happens in few minutes and you can do or schedule it when you are not using the phone.
Plus failsafe is suck a minor thing that I never saw a firmware breaking a phone with all devices I ever had (or any person near me)… maybe it is a thing with Beta or custom firmware but normal users probably wont have any advantage with that partition update.
The space lose is way more critical… today 10-15GB is used by the system if that needs to be duplicated it will be 20-30GB… ridiculous.
Sometimes you wonder if Google really knows the direction they are taking with Android.

What a useless update.
What on Earth would I be doing on my phone that's so life changing that I can't wait 5 to 15 minutes for the phone to update so that I can use it again?!
And even if I were doing something that important, no one is forcing me to update right away when the update is available. I can set it to update in the evening, or even while sleeping.

I can comfortably use any icon pack from Playstore and integrate it system-wide. Also, the launcher can be tweaked as well, of course with Goodluck. When I realised how much I was given I eventually uninstalled nova and additionally, with nova and one UI launcher running in the background, the battery takes several jabs.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2022You can install icon packs from galaxy store.most icon packs from galaxy store ive seen look so cartoonish. rather install nova launcher or even pixel launcher if i had another samsung😎😎😎 throwing custom rom on a samsung is painful. so this might be the reason why i switched myself to a xiaomi

I thought it would mean releasing updates at the same time for all Samsung devices like Apple does
Still disappointed they can't do it, they copy things from Apple but only the bad stuff 😔

Looks like best to buy 256 base storage devices as samsungs bloated os eats like 20-30% of your phones storage.
Even more now as Android plus Samsungs bloat get bigger & bigger every versions.

For year 2023 128GB along with 6GB of ram should be minimum even for phones with Android go edition.
Othervise is a total E-waste not worth even making.
And the lowest phones regardless of the brand should start at 99 euros or less.
